Jan looked around the apartment. It was mostly deserted, aside from a few others, and was relatively peaceful. He sat back in the chair, letting his mind wander to the days before the infection and the fall. Could the world be rebuilt? Was there even a single chance? He sat there and wondered how it could happen, whiling away the minutes lost in thought.
