Wyrm has the strongest faction, IMO. His psionic forces would just laugh at our -5 opposing forces so we better to be friendly with him

You may be allies, but in the same way the CIA is an ally of the US Army. You are allies because you work for the same guys, but remember that the more funds are spent on other projects, the less are spent on your project.

PS: Remember that will level 0 in Space Travel you still have a light transport ship that can do FTL travel by using Travel Gates. However there might be no Travel Gates to your destination.

PS2: As you accomplish objectives, you get points representing the funds that the Goverment is spending on your project.

Dwarf Fortress doesn't mean to do it... I just can't behave sometimes so it has to correct me.
Wait, there's a player list?

Not really.
He's strong but he has no effective weapons or armor and very low numbers.
If we fought on equal numbers he'd win hands down in a straight fight but he isn't overwhelmingly strong.

What equipment do I begin with Rhyme?

I have 750 men and I'm gonna split them up as 50 snipers, 100 heavy gunners, 600 infantry.

Do I begin with them fully armed to match my tech levels?

Mind control can do wonders :)

Edited my charsheet slightly, massive minus in psychic was illogical considering that community was founded by pretty religious guys. And my genetic mods are fairly minor to use 10 points

Haven't seen the IC, I suspect it was a bit to late? :)

Ok.

In that case I have.

50 snipers in stealth armor with highly advanced ballistic rifles and laser side arms with minor forcefields.
Snipers are genetically modified to be extremely fast, very quiet and agile to improve stealth and with enhanced senses.

100 support gunners in heavy power armor with laser miniguns and laser side arms with the best possible forcefields.
Support gunners have extreme strength to use the miniguns and have extreme endurance due to being unable to use cover.

600 infantry in heavy power armor with highly advanced ballistic assault rifles with laser side arms and medium forcefields.
Infantry have superior strength, speed, and endurance to normal humans.

All men carry 2 combat energy knives.

How many men can the transport carry at once?

the light transpor can carry 150 of your men. It isn't like you would need much more in a space station.

Ok.

Is Space Station IO-4 in system or do I need a gate to reach it?

Thats fine then no need for a gate to reach it :).

Now to wait for the others to make moves then I can retake a space station :).

I've got 50ish guys, I'm not a superpower. I'm just great at psionics.
I can't imagine that they could mind-control more than one or two at once, so that's 75 or so of your soldiers...nine non-mind-controlled for every mind-controlled, and that's if they don't shoot the psions first.
I'm a scalpel, not a sledgehammer.

So... What now? I expect some numbers about my fleet and population... Or I need to make them myself?

And remember that the IC thread is already out there,

Hey can I rent my men out to other players for assignments?
I do have kind of an excess at the moment.
