Bio: Sonata was born on an outlying planet of the Federation. She was surrounded by interesting things that went clang when she went at them with a wrench, and always couldn't contain her curiosity despite her parents' pleas to not dismantle the combine harvest bot AGAIN. She also enjoyed things that exercised her thinking, like board games of tactics. She entered the military during her final technician year as part of the credits for the course, those that represented her on-the-job experience. However, the war broke out soon, and it was taken as
fait accompli that she was actually a normally hired mechanic. She was whisked into conflict areas where lots of machines broke and was worked very hard. She has ended up on the cursed frozen hell-planet where the ghosts of ships betrayed and torn asunder are said to smolder in the shifting snows, if you look close enough.
Sonata is driven by curiosity, and a need to win, be it against the machine, against a human player, or on a (simulated) battlefield. While that doesn't mean she's a genius, she does like winning. On the other hand, she doesn't stoop to actions she considers dirty, like cheating. She has a generally affable personality, but isn't necessarily friendly.
