Short descriptionThis faction is primarily made up of farmers, miners, loggers, laborers and scientists. They prefer to be left alone to pursue their own goals.
HistoryThis faction formed early on from dissenters of other factions, primarily laborers, who went down soon after the ship arrived (If the terraforming was still in the process of being completed, they went down near the end. A malfunction in Colony Pod 1 dropped it on the continent, killing all but 714. Colony Pod 2 landed where it was planned, on the island, and set up the base there. The communications array allowed contact between the two, and eventually access was permitted by ship between the areas. The miners, loggers, and the farmers that went in Pod 1 transferred to the mainland, and the scientists and laborers that were in Pod 2 transferred to the island (1/2 of each occupation went in one pod, the other half in the other pod). Some of the mainland facilities were broken down to give the island supplies, but a small facility remains, where a majority of the farming is done. Neither facility was found by the other colonies thanks to the cloaking devices that the faction brought with them. The lax measures within the government allow the people free will in their choice of where they build on the continent, causing the majority of the miners, farmers, and loggers to be freelance, selling their goods to the mainland facility.
