Please go into your dwarf fortress folder and look for gamelog.txt. It's a file that perserves all your combat reports. Please post some combat reports I would love to read about her fights in greater detail.

This arquive is about 10mb. I tried to search for my ragaban, but only found one message "Rig•th Ragaban has become a militia captain." After this i only found militia captain notes, because i put her in military all year, so i am not sure if is her or my other captains (i have a axe, sword, war hammer/mace, spear and a mark squad, so is 5 captain messages =(.

Like i said, a search for Rigoth Ragaban (aka female you know), the only entry i get is Rigoth Ragaban become a militia captain (i put her as squad captain) so every action appears as Militia Captain strike a goblin, Militia captain this, Militia captain do his stuff, so now i going to search for any militia captain kick

Have you checked to make sure she isn't a vampire? Something about this just screams "It's a vampire!" to me.

Been a while. But you need to get some craftsdwarves that like boots and lead, brass, gold or some other irregular dense material. A lucky mood and you'll see some artifact boots. Wonder if quality affects the performance of boots as Kicking weapons.

I never see boots in combat report, so i think quality boots only for blocking atack, going to arena making a test.

Wouldn't you need two different Strange Moods to get two artifact boots though?

Better to just give her steel high boots if weight matters and adamantine if it doesn't.

First Test. Arena Mode.

In default arena, have some rooms with passages, i close the passages with w-water and l-magma, creating obsidian walls so dwarves can't leave the room, 50 rooms, i waited a time so the dwarves dont get caugh in a burst of steam. In this test i put a proeficient Fighter, Kicker, Armor User and Dodger, i am not giving striker, biter or wrestler because i want to know about kicks. One side with a pair of Adamantine High Boots and the other with Steel.No armor. 28 steel, 22 adamantine. I was thinking because the steel density is bigger than adamantine, this extra weight is added to kicks, and because kicks is blunt damage, steel do better damage. Searching the battle reports, but all fatal blows is punch in the head, bruising muscle, jamming skull through the brain and tearing the brain. Because they don't have armor, all kicks and punchs they were not deflected, so with test i can tell if steel or adamantine do more damage, is more about to get a luck punch or get the dwarve unconscious. Later i going to test with armor set. (prob a full set of steel to both dwarves, just giving a adamantine boots to one side).

Second Test. Arena Mode.

Same layout of first test, just giving steel breastplate,mail shirt, greaves, helm, a pair of gauntlets and a pair or high boots. All steel, just giving adamantine boots for one group.

In first test, the fights take almost 2 minute to end, but this time, more than 10 minutes to end. 29 adamantine and 21 steel survivors. In battle reports, the final blow is not only punch tearing brain, this time i have bleeding and sufocations. Still searching this reports for a conclusion (50 dwarves fighting for 10 min give a loot of material to research).

Just a thought McKooga: Would it be possible to mod dwarves to remove all attacks but kicks? Of course they still could do "push" attacks, but I'd think that they prioritise kicks if that was their only form of attack listed, right?
I'm saying this and not doing because I have no experience with modding

I was thinking just about that, but if you attempt this make sure you only remove the strict necessary to make those attacks. Leave all the vulnerable body parts.
You don't want to simulate single feet fighting each other eternally, as amusing as that would be.

This came up in the latest DFTalk, and as of right now equipment isn't considered for kicking or punching attacks. So you're best to just give whatever offers the best damage protection (adamantine obviously).
