Cancellation Spam in a Tomb
« on: November 15, 2012, 10:21:50 pm »

I have a dwarf repeatedly trying to store something in a coffin that's already occupied.  If I forbid it, he just moves on to the next one.  No burrows active, no civilian alerts active.  Anyone have any ideas?

[edit]

I figured it out after awhile.  The corpse he was trying to load was stuck in my danger room traps.  It was elusive until I saw the Miasma.  So note for future reference:  dump the corpses and then reclaim them from the garbage heap.

If levered upright spears are up, corpses are considered to be unpathable since it's hidden by the spike/spear :D

I've had a lot of this sort of issue before with pets being accidentally spiked.

That makes sense.  It's been my first time using danger rooms, so I'm learning the hard way.  I think they're also responsible for some dwarf baby deaths.  I've had 2 or 3 of them just randomly suffocate for no apparent reason and I very nearly had a few tantruming dwarves because of it, and their stupid cat pets dying.  But a big statue garden and some lavish meals saved the day for now.  I think I'll keep my danger rooms off for the time being.
