.......... :o
Wow, that was a huge update. I love the references to Monk12's game.
As for plans, lets go southwest to the closest stash and then west to the closest bluff.

Thats a good idea, but I'd make a quick stop at Mudcups first. Leave Snag a few hours out of town watching the Wagon and hunting. Head into town and buy some masonry/mining gear. If we have peons we can get them to construct us a proper base. Get in touch with Uta Pitchworths quickly, and enquire about the Victual brothers. I'm not sure if whatever silver we have left is enough to hire them, and they wont be in town just yet, but they could be useful for asserting our will over the hunters and slaves.

Use the Lepper Disguise, and Don't Linger.

Edit: Also consider picking up some salts, spices, other things to preserve meat.

I like most of this.

Can a skill book be used more than once (by different readers, not multiple gains for an individual)?  If yes, I think we should also have Snang peruse The Art of the Blade when she's not hunting or guarding.  If she's a better fighter, then we have better protection (and a better instructor/sparring partner).  Besides, if she's the typical action type and is bored to tears by reading, it's a good opportunity to hit her with more blended respect (I believe you can handle this difficult subject) and role-reinforcement (it doesn't matter what you like, you'll do as I say).

If we are giving the hunter a reading list, don't forget to add Murder on the Dance Floor. Optionally leave suggestive margin notes on the pages with the steamy stuff :)

I would avoid the suggestive margin notes, but giving her a pornographic skill book might be useful too, yes.

Also, I think we need a long term plan to impress the others with before we try to recruit that slaver or more goblins. One idea to work towards is to start a slave caravan with a fortress to the Northwest within visiting distance of all local civilizations. Apply Historian Skill and see if you can recall the slavery laws of any or all of the local nations.

Is snaug literate? She's just a hunter, so she might not be. If she is, we could just just give her the books and let her read them at her leisure.
As for the victual brothers, I don't think we'll need any enforcers, because we'll only be dealing with low-ranking hunters.

If we do need money, maybe we could buy a bunch of blank paper/books at mudcups and either copy our skillbooks, write some skillbooks of our own for administration/law, or make maps with our geography skill and our super-memory.

Finally, should we get snaug to keep training us as we travel? If so, what should we train?

In the long  run the victual brothers might be good choices to hire on as full-time enforcers, but thats further down the line that we'll need someone like them. Right not Snaug and any drivers we manage to  brow-beat/coerce/literally beat into our service should do just fine.

Even if she can't read, she can at least understand the pictures in the Athletics book.

I think we should try to boost our ability to knife-fight as much as goblinly possible.  The weapon skill itself, dodger, armour user, etc.  Minions are great, especially minions with skills unlike our own natural aptitudes to fill in the gaps, but we need to be able to handle our own business.  That way we don't just die if we get surprised away from our support network, or if a more rebellious minion makes a play for power when we start rebuilding the tribe and/or founding a new one.

Just a quick post to say that this isn't dead yet, but I've a lot of things to do this Christmas and Goblin posts can take up to 3 hours if I'm being slack about it. >_>  Goblin will resume updating in the new year, however!

The day after I leave for bootcamp, probably. :P

So a few months.
