Why can't I get to Google?

Today I tried going to Google. Instead of the usual page, I got a page filled with Chinese text. I went to Google translate (which was working perfectly fine) and found out that it said Google was down.

Am I the only one having this problem?

edit:  it may be worth it to go to yahoo or something and search for google, then check it ou that way or use their cache of the page.

Isn't China currently censoring google at the moment?  Maybe that has something to do with it?

I'm not in China. I searched Google on Bing and yahoo but it went to the Chinese error page.

The link led to the same Chinese error page. Google scholar seems to work fine.

i know whats going on, you are getting a redirect to some chinese google clone, scan the computers for any BHOs (superantispyware) and try resetting your browser.

Are you by any chance running an onion routing service (e.g. TOR)? Because when I've done that, it sends me through places like Sweden and Romania, and when it does that, Google redirects to the site for that country. Then it decides my searches are coming from a suspicious network and blocks them because the guy running TOR in Romania has a botnet or something. Perhaps it's sending you through china, and you're being stopped by the Great Firewall?

I am from Romania and whenever I go to google.com it sends me to google.ro.
But when I do google.ca (google canada) it doesn't.
Can you go to google.ca and use that?There is no difference.
