Yes... she was working and asking for rocks, gems, and other things she haves (as you can see from the dfhack log).

Is this a bug ? How can I troubleshoot ? Do you need the save so you can dig in ?

p.s.
after going mad she's no more choosable as noble, and I lost the count title :(
I can live with that game and go on, but I would like your final advice on that.

This is the image ! Down you see the hospital with her, she once managed ! She's still in countess dresses !!!

p.s.
do you like this living quarters ? waterfall in the middle + some artifacts around (gold statue, rock hatch, steel grate) and a dragon in a cage :D
it's an evolution of this: http://dwarffortresswiki.org/images/2/28/Dwarf-bedroom-simple.jpg

No, I mean when you q over the workshop after she has collected all items, it should say something like "she is working furiously".

Don't know if it's a bug, I would just have checked DFhack to see what she wants and if she has it. You can also t over the workshop to see what she has collected.

Living quarters look good, I just make everything a lot bigger (3x2 or 3x3 for normal dwarves, bigger ones for special dwarfs and huge halls for nobles.)

It was everything there :( I don't understand, so frustrating ...

But honestly, it's also funny.
The berserk thing was not acceptable for me, but the countess going crazy and babbling around ... I kind of like that.

Hope I'll make some other count in the future !?

Unfortunately not, baron/count/duke and monarch are not replacable.

It was the one that was using economy in previous versions right ?

Now it's not really needed ... isn't it ?

I moved on ... now i'm melting an ice river with magma :D

Very neatly organized living spaces. My dwarves often have larger rooms, which makes them happier, but that can be problematic when it comes to jealous nobles.

Childrens' moods also default to a craftdwarf's workshop. I'm on the second generation of my long-running, low-population fort now (turn off migrants--total population, 20, and twelve are children). Of the kids, eight have gotten a strange mood, and five of those are now legendary stonecrafters. When they grow up, I'll be able to churn out crafts like nobody's business.

And I've had my first old-age deaths, too. Never thought I'd see "Died Peacefully" on a memorial... but there it is. With such a low population you have to play very cautiously; all the same, there have still been a dozen deaths. I'll need some luck to keep these guys going. On the plus side, FPS has stayed at 100.

DAMN !

Now I continued ... But I am sure I deactivated hauling in all my important workers & nobles.

Could be the reason why she was not taking items from stockpiles??
This is unfair, the game should bypass this during the strange mood !!

And that's why I turns off artifacts. Though that's more because they tend to demand shells and die for want of it in older versions :D

I don't mind the loss of artifacts, it feels more sastifying to make fortress valuable through hard work instead of magical artifacts. That and it's annoying for them to steal stuffs for whatever reason.

So I lost my countess for a bug in the end :(

This should be communicated to the mighty Toady One.

I often remove hauling to all nobles+specialized workers.
One can't lose them because of that.

After bubbling around, she died of thrist :(

I should have made her a vampire months ago ... when a vampire law-giver went to her diplomatic office.

Dwarves will still collect items for their strange moods, even if their hauling labors are turned off.

Well ... as you see from the DFhack screenshot, she had everything !
So maybe her creation just went to timeout, because she didn't have any work skill ?

Anyway, I don't find this behavior correct in this game.

Did you forbid or in any other way change the workshop (this includes forbidding the material the shop is made of via the stocks screen)?
Were any burrow orders enforced (that is: was she assigned to a burrow but the claimed workshop was NOT)?

Even children will finish strange moods and, as we all know, they dont have any skills aside from causing grief - so not having any moodable skills is not a reason for a mood to fail.

Has she started working on the artifact at all? Maybe you just werent quick enough to provide all the items?
