Stat Decay and 34.11
« on: November 13, 2012, 01:16:34 am »

So, I remember in previous versions, stat decay would occur no matter what. Has this been tested on 34.11, and what were the results?

In case it wasn't obvious, I do know that dividing by zero is a mathematical impossibility. I do not know, however, how this dwarven calculator would react if anyone attempted the impossible. Please, someone try! xD
If you look back in the thread, some people did try, and they got 8008135, which is significant only in that the digits resemble the letter in "BOOBIES".
And so dwarf fortress solves yet another of lifes great mysteries.

Not quite sure exactly what you are asking here. Care to elaborate upon the exact effects that were studied previously that you are asking about?

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

If you mean skill rust, then yes, skills do eventually rust over time without use. I don't think this reduces the experience the dwarf has in that particular skill, it just gives them a large negative effect to the skill until they use it again.

Then it happened. Then I cringed. Then I picked it up and beat him to death with it, and then his buddies, too.
You beat a man to death with his dick?

I meant stats, where each dwarf would loose stuff like "has incredible muscles" eventually becoming lardasses that were ultra weak.

All of my dwarves have ultimate fat by time migrations stops, and it have nothing to do with their muscles. It's all the tallow meals :D

So from that, I suppose stat changing is still there, I've not bothered to put them on a diet and seeing if they skinny down.

They will get skinnier if they are starving for a while. My dwarfs tend to be somewhat fat but still pretty strong and agile from all the hauling.
