I made a free for all text based game once, which used a set of rules.

1. There must be 2 post or 1 day (whichever is shortest) between the posts of one player, unless roleplaying requires otherwise
2. The amount of turns that have been taken by each player are counted in a spoiler. As such, if someone lags behind, he can do multiple turns at once.

Ahh. That sounds... perfect.

I'll implement those.

Also slight meta; the sleep cycle and season cycle measurements are only known by my species. Though that's okay since it's just a measurement system. Also, I'd add "cp. age" since I'd assume cactisapiens don't age at the same rate.

I just took them because I have yet to make one up for my Cactisapien.

For the moment, I'll use them until they bother creating their own measurements.

Just notes for myself, but this is a calendar for personal use. (Just one question, the current moon rotation time means it is tidally locked, and as such is always above the same point of the planet). As such, there are no tides, and the moon goes through an entire cycle during a single day, with (for my species at last) full moon at midnight, and a waxing moon at midday. The calendar uses decimal weeks for convenience.

Hey, Iaman? Heard of pronouns?

Sorry but that's so repetitive it made me borf.

Also personal use because why the heck not:

Hey, Kaleb wouldn't it be a lot more exciting to introduce random events, like earthquakes or asteroids being sent to the planet. Just to spice up the game because it will eventually get boring.

Yes. Eventually if it gets boring call a vote and we'll work on putting in some random event.

Suggestion for Iaman:

Why don't you develop sign language seeing that you race is Very good with body language.

We will. When it gets useful; i.e talking to other races, or communicating complex desires (having faces that are essentially three holes, two holes for eyes and one for a mouth doesn't help with expressions).

Our body language is good for now, but eventually we will research it.

Bah, I live in the wrong timezone, apparently.

Unless somebody objects, I'm going to skip one post for research purposes, because I don't want to fall behind.

that is what the turnometer is for.
sort-of-code:
(person with highest amount of posts in IC topic) - (your IC posts - your pure-dialogue posts) = turnometer
if (your IC posts < turnometer)
{
IC posts = turnometer;
}
elseif (your IC posts == turnometer)
{
IC posts = turnometer+1;
turnometer=IC posts;
}
Basically:
If you have less IC posts than the turnometer, skip ahead to where you would be if you had as many turns as the turnometer had. If you are at the turnometer, take one turn and add it to the turnometer. Also, adding this summary here to the OP.

Details of the Silicoid race.

The Silicoid race evolved in a ecosystem were there was not any other organisms, hence there wasn't any competition for resources. That is why they make horrible combatants because the act of violence is very foriegn to them. Due to living in a what other races think as hostile environment, this makes them have a very hardy physiology or to put it simple rock skin.

The Cactisapien are also quite hardy, although to a lesser extent.

They ARE cactus people. :P

You have permission to add to the ecosystem as long as it isn't OP or unrealistic / unbelievable.
