Hmm. Not sure if I want to vote for Bag of Holding or Nightwatch. I'll just wait until a few more people vote before I decide. :P

Given Stormy is now a war mindset against Insaneon, I'm voting for Don't Rock the Boat Baby
He's already got an army, do we want to let them have mobility by sea as well? :P

-------
Memorial RP

Stormy adjusted her glasses and stood in front of the mingled mourners and well wishers, giving them each a glance that said she appreciated this.

"...thank you, everyone, for coming. I won't say much, just being here is enough for most of you, but...the Beggar King, Alex Seawind...was a good man. He won my heart... I lived more in the few days I knew him, than in the years before.

We should remember him today, and...while none of you can know how deep a sacrifice this was to us, just be content with the face that he died for the sake of many others-a noble death, if such a thing can be. There's no part of him remains on this Earthly plane to commit to the sea, so I'll ask each of you to merely spend a time of reflection here-in a place he and I shared, in what little time we had together. It means the world to me that you have come, it truly does.

I'm not saying goodbye to him today. Since, he's not entirely gone...as long as I keep a piece of him with me. I would ask you all to treasure what you have...with those beside you. So...don't take anything for granted. All you've got is this single moment...to make the best of."

With that, Stormy turned to the Sea herself. In and out, the tide rolled, merciless and forever. Not unlike fate..so much like the sea, was that fate-her father had said...it takes what it will and minds the plea of no man or woman. She could only do her best, in the end.

This small patch of ground, what a wonder-a few days ago, they had their small picnic here. It was as good a place as any.

For though Stormy was grieving...and enraged, deeper down...she knew something the others did not. And it gave her a small bit of solace...

Even if, she thought it might be a lie.

(I'd vote for it with you but we can't do it yet. ^^^; We need to convince another faction to help us first. Sorry for the thirty-minute delay for such a relatively short post, but it was difficult to write. >.>)

Susan stayed respectfully silent during Llewyn's eulogy, keeping her hand entwined with Carlos's. Once it was done, she glanced at Carlos to let him know her intentions before separating and approaching her teammate. The two stood for a moment, staring out at the sea, before she took her older friend's hand in hers. Silence reigned; what was there to say? Any words, no matter how sincere, would sound just as hollow as they did yesterday. Instead she merely squeezed Stormy's hand lightly, trying to indicate she was there for her.

((@Serc: Not sure if we had to handle that in RP or what. Though I didn't plan it out, my turn gives us an excellent chance. The memorial is a good time for us to ally with the The First Church of the Blue Orb, whom I'm guessing are the strangers in robes. They would help us for obvious reasons...and would be a great personal boon for me, anyway.

Assuming you're in, though, we're still missing a third vote for a lock though, so ensuing conversation might be pointless lol))

The Memorial

Stormy squeezed Susans hand tightly, as if she might fly away.

"...you'll take care of yourself, right Suse? I feel like I'm putting you in danger by being your friend...and I don't want to lose anyone else..." she said quietly, looking down at her feet. She knew her words were hollow in the circumstance, but anything was better than letting the silence and the waves reign.

Afterwards...

Stormy approached the strange figures in blue cloaks, trusting that Susan would be at her back, nodding and folding her fingers respectfully. She kept a respectful distance.

"...I'm guessing, you're members of The First Church of the Blue Orb...and, it's a shame Alex was not able to introduce me to the rest of you in time...but, I do we believe we have things to discuss, yes?" Stormy asked hesitantly.

(You could be right. I just figured whichever mission we did of the two available would give us that faction as allies for the boat attack. ^^^; I'll try to help you out, then. Unless we get shut down by WS. :P If I have to vote for something else, I'm more interested in these rites than I am electric pokemon or adding a prisoner to our stuffed cells, so voting Nightwatch. Also, in-character, Rags would probably want to do that one out of sympathy for those three orphans.)

"Of course. I don't want to leave anyone behind..." Susan said. That seemed to satisfy Llewyn, and she moved over to the people in blue robes. Susan followed her; she was curious about them herself. Her teammate identified them as members of the First Church of the Blue Orb. She raised a hand in greeting at them from just behind Stormy, but waited to hear what they would say to the elementalist before saying anything herself.

((@Serc: Well, no matter what, lets try to get settled on a mission by today-I'll probably change my vote to whatever you do serc, if it will get it done. I suppose I'd have to go for Nightwatch too anyway barring my first choice.))

The apparent leader, who towers over 8 feet tall, bows slightly and speaks. "I am Clairethe. And indeed, we represent the First Church of Kyogre."

Her voice is exotic and beautiful, speaking in a harmony of several different sorrowful notes. "I don't think he would have introduced us though. He was doing everything in his power to keep you from getting tangled in Church Business."

One of the others pipes in, in a harsh male voice. "And we are still going to respect those wishes Clairethe. We were here for the ceremony, not idle chit-chat."

The large mutant ponders her companion's words. "He took his wishes to the grave. And I think everybody here understands that he choose Ms. Llewyn for something. Even if we don't know what. There is no use pretending she is not at the very least a potential ally." Clairethe's voice becomes even more mournful as she mentions the elementalist's name.

Stormy nods somberly.

"I don't really know why, or for what he chose me either...

But what I do know is we can work together, against...that beast who killed him...not so much to gain a measure of revenge, as to make sure no more suffer because of its madness-he threatens all. Though, I would be lying if revenge was not one of my motivations...

...I will need allies in the days to come, if what has been predicted should come to pass. I would be honored to count you and yours among them...and I realize this meeting must be somewhat abrupt and badly timed. I knew of no other way to contact you, though, which was no doubt His design."

Clairethe considers Stormy's words. "We are in no position to face off with Virgil again. Directly anyway. There are only 40 or so of us, and we are not a militia. Alexis was more or less the only one who could hold his own in a fight... well him and me."

She drums her fingers on hip. "We are almost ready to complete that Ritual you helped us get the translator for. After that is done, we may be in a bit better shape."

((Alright, with no one budging on their votes I gotta change mine to Nightwatch ))

"Any way we can help each other, I suppose.

We have much work to do, and very soon. When you are ready, leave a message with an air elementalist named Kathy-she runs the clamperl food truck downtown. You need only tell her that we need to meet. I trust this person."
