SusanThe two of you find the lab ruined in the morning. It would seem that a wild Excadrill has burrowed through the catacombs and into the lab. The wild Pokemon had gotten a hold of Carlos' Tequila, smashed up the scanner, spilled all the supplies from all the cupboards, overturned the surgery tables, and cut up the cords for most of the electronic devices.
Together you manage to shoo the drunk Pokemon back into it's tunnel, and then spend some time helping Dr. Gonzalez repair the lab to an almost workable condition. Carlos has the ruined electronic components ordered for overnight shipping, so sadly there will be no research today.

LlewynDuring lunch, the agents discuss plans for training, and decide to challenge some of the bases support staff and charity cases to a set of battles.
Llewyn decides to challenge Doug Vincent, figuring that it would be better training if her opponents were to have the type advantage. Vincent's grass types prove to be challenging to beat, and to make matters interesting they seem to use Sunny Day. The battle quickly devolves into a match of switching out Pokemon and using weather moves back and forth. In the end Doug's Tangela uses Sunny Day after Llewyn and her Pokemon have exhausted their uses of Rain Dance, and Mr. Vincent quickly gains control of the battle from there handing Stormy a clean defeat.
+307 EXP for Stormy
Sami decides that she wants to train 6 Pokemon, and her chosen opponent Lucy only has three. Luckily Lucian is more than willing to step in and assist his sister.
The match starts poorly for the Engineer, as Lucy quickly scores knockouts against Wrex and Vandia with a couple double kick attacks from her pair of Nidoran.
Seivette is brought in, and manages to finish off the mutant secretaries's female Nidoran with the type advantage. Lucian brings in Thanatos in response and manages to knock out the Kadabra with pursuit when Sami attempts to recall it for a more favorable matchup.
Severus is Sami's next Pokemon, and it proceeds to fling Thanatos from the battle with a powerful Dragon Tail attack. Lucian responds by sending in White, his Raltz, who although is clearly outmatched in terms of power, is able to hold it's own by using Double Team and Teleport to avoid attacks. In the end both Pokemon collapse leaving Sami in a sticky situation. 2 Pokemon to 4.
Alamus is sent out to face off against Lucy's female Nidoran. The pig pokemon quickly gains the upper hand with it's ground type Bulldoze attack, but before it can finish off it's opponent, the Nidoran evolves into Nidorina right in the middle of battle! Lucy then reveals that John had purchased her a TM to use on her Pokemon, and orders her newly evolved ally to use Sludge Bomb. The attack connects, causing heavy damage to Alamus and poisoning it. The Pignite then finishes off Lucy's Pokemon with another Bulldoze.
Lucian sends Thanatos back out, and despite having already eaten a Dragon Tail attack it is able to absorb blows from Alamus until the fire type is worn down from poison damage and faints.
Sami sends out Havok, her last and arguably strongest Pokemon, to face down her opponent's three remaining Pokemon.
The Drapion works quickly, tearing apart the Duskull with a powerful bite attack and causing it to faint. Lucian then sends in his last Pokemon for the battle, the Smeargle Notes.
It quickly becomes appearent that Notes is no match for Havok. The Smeargle's quick attack can't even bruise the dark type through it's heavy armor plating. Sami has to order the Drapion to stop messing around and finish it's foe off, which it does with a one-two combination of Pin Missile and Bite.
Sami suddenly finds herself in a much better situation, as the Pokemon count is now even and Havok had yet to take any damage. Her victory is assured when Lucy's last Pokemon turns out to be Exeggcute, a Pokemon at a severe power and type disadvantage. Not sure how high leveled the Egg Pokemon is, and not wanting to do real damage, Sami orders a weak Knock Off attack, which inflicts enough damage to score the knock out and to earn Sami a good come from behind victory.

Lucian then decides to finish his training with Faust. The officer informs Lucian that he will be using one of his stronger Pokemon, and that Lucian should feel free to use as many Pokemon as he sees fit to combat it. With those instructions he pulls out a Pokeball decorated with medals and deploys an Emboar.
Deciding to take the type advantage, Lucian sends out Dune to face the large fire pig. Faust allows the Trapinch to score a bite on his Pokemon, before instructing the Emboar to put it away with a struggle attack. The pig nods, and bats it's opponent into the wall, easily knocking it out and breaking a few bones in the process.
Guide comes out next, and once more Faust defers the first attack to Lucian, despite the fact his pokemon likely had the speed advantage. Lucian takes advantage of his supervisor's genorosity and calls for a confuse ray, which of course hits. Faust orders a Head Smash attack, but his Pokemon simply staggers around smacking itself in the head.
Lucian then orders a fire spin, which imobolizes the Emboar, and begins to have guide wear it down with repeated Smog attacks.
The Litwik manages to get three smog attacks off, one of which poisons the foe, before Emboar can move again. Faust calls for an Assurance attack, and the exhausted Emboar cloaks it's hand in dark energy before punching Guide out cold with a single massive blow.
Smoke is the last Pokemon Lucian decides he wants to train today, and the Aura user can tell that Haunter may have a chance to finish Emboar off, as the Pig's aura betrays it's exhaustion.
The Haunter is sent out, and Lucian orders a Shadow Punch. The uncannily accurate attack connects, but Emboar digs deep and remains standing.
"End it. Heat Crash." Faust orders. With a nod the porcine pokemon leaps into the air and cloaks it's body in blue flames fueled by the baize ability before coming down hard on the Haunter with a mighty *thud*. Smoke faints, and Faust is victorious.

Sami:
Argus is sent once more into the tunnels, fully intent on flushing out more of Virgil's Kings. It finds a pocket underneath a power-station that is unfortunately guarded by several alert gangbangers. They open fire on the Robot with rifles and Pokemon and Sami is forced to call a retreat after about a minute of intense gunfighting.
When the robot returns, Sami is shocked and frightened to find an un-exploded grenade lodged in Argus's frame, however a quick examination reveals that some stupid King grunt forgot to pull the pin before throwing. The device looks quite advanced, so it is sent to Rik's workshop for examination.

Doug:
Phyllis Underhill proves to be a tough nut to crack, but eventually a combination of Jumper Cables, Waterboarding, and the 'usual methods' get her to talk.
"I... I can't tell you anything for sure. Bu-but I think he wants something to do with the President General's estate. He is in touch with one of the cloister communities on the small island to our West. He has them making boats for his forces to use in the operation. That is all I know, honest."

After getting the information you need from Phyllis, you decide to snag Virgil's IT officer, Clara Patent. This proves to be quite simple; she spends her days in a web cafe downtown. You simply slip across the border arrive at the cafe, pay for a computer, and surf the web while you keep an eye on the Target. When Clara leaves, you follow and hold her up at at Rhyhornpoint when nobody is around. She pulls out an old fashion revolver to defend herself with, but it jams, and she surrenders without further incident.
You escort her to the beach where Donna Smith picks you both up in the Yatch so you don't have to try and get through a border checkpoint with a prisoner.

After making sure Clara is secure in the prison, you head to the burnt out fang for a bit of exploring, where you quickly stumble upon that Chattot Mutant you attempted to capture a few weeks back. She recognized you, and flies to a nearby roof. The game picks up right where it left off, with her waiting for you to close in before flying away at the last second. Eventualy you get fed up and send out your Rhyhorn to even up the odds a bit.
Seeing herself at a type disadvantage, the mutant quickly flies over to another roof and calls to you across the gap. "Alright. I guess you win this round. I'll leave your prize right here, okay?"
With that, your quarry puts something down on her roof, and flies off in the direction of the Plantation District. You rush over and find that the item she left is a TM.

Lucian:
With scissors, a bug sweeping device, and your usual tenacity you set to work going through Maya's belongings. Sure enough you find several recording devices wired to snoop via the island's cell phone network. Rik says they are nothing fancy or worth investigating, so you hurl them into the ocean to stop the spying.
You also come across a strange transparent blackish crystal with wires and circutry inside. This Rik does not regonize, so he puts it in the big pile of stuff to investigate.

At the Barren Peninsula Community, where you hope to find a Foci, you quickly get sidetracked. The drug dealers had been back. Maximillion had cornered them, but they shot their way to freedom, killing a local guard in the process. You spend the rest of the afternoon helping the community leader interrogate witnesses and comforting three newly minted orphans (As it turns out, the shooting victim was a single mother).
By the time you have to leave for the memorial service, you havn't had time to collect a Foci, but at least you are pretty sure that the Drug Dealers are working for The Kings, and you have a vague idea of what they look like as individuals.

Llewyn:
You get to work trying to decode the Earth Tome, and you quickly find the task to be quite difficult. In many ways Lunar Hieroglyphs are different from any other language, it is almost alien. Even with a translation key, the task is just a few notches above your current ability level. In days past you might have been able to stick with it and get the job done through perceveerence alone, but your mind is clearly elsewhere today, and after a few hours of work you head out to the docks a few hours early and just wait for the others to come to the memorial service.

Susan:
After helping Carlos in the lab, you decide to head on down to the Barren Peninsula community to better get to know your new allies. You find the people there in mourning - It would seem that drug dealers had shot a guard dead in cold blood. What sickens you all the more is that the mutant shot was a single mother of three.
You decide to spend much of your day comforting and distracting the victim's children, each a strange red fox-like mutant under 10 years old. You cook them lunch, hold their hands during a brief memorial ceromony, and keep them inside while Lucian and Maximilian investigate the crime and multiple eyewitnesses give repeated accounts of the brutal incident.
The children seem to understand that people are talking about their mother outside, and want to go out and be a part of it. To keep them busy, you send out Core. The little mutants quickly hit it off with the laid back rock type, to the point where they dress it up in baby doll clothes and paint all over it with nail polish.
When it comes time to leave, the Victim's brother pulls you aside and thanks you for your help. He then drops a bombshell.
"The children... they look so happy with that Pokemon. I have to have it for them. Would you consider trading it for a Swampert by any chance?"

The Memorial:It is a windy evening at the beach; Llewyn notes the sand and waves perform their glorious dance completely ignorant of the sorrow at hand. The other attendees begin to show up. The Smith sisters are the first to arrive, having nothing better to do during the day and wanting to support Llewyn though this difficult.
John O'Neil shows up next. He claims to have known Alexis and his father from years ago, and brings enough whiskey to turn the affair into an Irish Wake.
Lucy and Lucian show up next, hand in hand.
Susan then makes her appearance, and to everybody's surprise Carlos accompanies her.
About a hundred yards down the beach a handful of figures in concealing blue hooded cloaks watch intently, murmuring among themselves.
