Stormy nodded and smiled slightly, her usual boisterous self subdued and quiet. She took an envelope from her dresser and handed it to Susan.
"...to put it simply, things are going to happen around me soon-I'm going to be at the center of something big. I'm not sure how big, or what exactly...but if something happens to me, I need you to make sure my family gets this. There's something in here for you as well, but do try to constrain your curiosity. This is insurance."
With that, she began painting once more, strokes materializing into form and function. Now one could see two figures, on the beach...were they fighting? Embracing? It was hard to say, at this point.
"Now...you know Alex is gone...or, I'm not sure exactly where...but he gave me the Blue Orb for safe keeping. I didn't know how to come out and say it. There's...a part of him left in here. Or maybe I'm not well. Either way, I just need to make sure you knew this is a very important thing to me-it's all I have left of...whatever we had. So I don't want it to be damaged, do you understand? We should be careful with it. It'll be hard for me to even part with it, but I know it's not healthy to keep a secret like this from my friends." She said hesitantly-as if fighting the urge to scream, or cry. A great deal of pressured emotions threatened just underneath the skin.
Stormy leaned over and lifted a canvas cover off of the orb, shining in its usual azure brilliance.
