Sami started reversing the APC back into the base's garage, the armour of the vehicle covered in crude graffiti done by the KotS. Sami opened the driver's hatch and jumped out of the vehicle onto the floor, taking a moment to call the others on the intercom.

"Right, I want everyone in the cafeteria in ten minutes, I got some information pertaining to the next mission." She quickly handed Argus a high-pressure hose, fed from the bilge that occasionally got into the prison, and started to head towards the cafeteria, slightly miffed at the lack of artistic inspiration within the KotS, and the stubbornness on both sides of the assault...

Stormy made it to the cafeteria first, yawning a bit. She had stayed up quite late the night before, talking and carousing with the Beggar King. It had been almost midnight for both of them realized how much time had passed...

She sat down on the table after setting a pot of coffee, waiting to see who would come first, absorbed in her own thoughts.

Susan arrived next, lured by the aroma of coffee that didn't smell of the dirt-cheap kind usually available.

Lucian made his way there as well, he had been watching Notes play with Romeo.

Stormy waves to Susannah and Lucian in turn.

"Good Morning, Dr. Rags, Lucian.

Please do refrain from singing loudly your morning reveries or tap dancing upon the tables-I had a long night and am somewhat disjuncted."

In her own way, she can say this with a completely straight face.

Doug arrives last, sitting down on one of the chairs without a word.

Sami soon arrived at the cafeteria, sitting down next to the group before she spoke.

"Right, first things first. I'd like to inform you all that in no way is Virgil connected to the KotS that are involved this attack. If anything, the ones doing it are more or less opposed to him. This is though, It happens to be Paul and Vincent that happen to be organizing it.

Which then brings me to my next point; Vincent isn't calling off the assault due to the fact that the objective in their assault happens to be intel on Virgil. Now, I have tried getting it diplomatically off of Vanessa, but that went as well as you'd expect. Furthermore, Vincent was very reluctant to call off the assault, due to Vanessa's reputation, And I don't mean the stuff we had to clear up for her.

This leaves us in a dilemma; Do we still go to the PCNA's aid, and potentially deny ourselves a fair amount of data. Or do we snub Vanessa, and potentially get snubbed by the PCNA?"

Doug sighed. "You're going to have to be more specific. What reputation does Commons have that deals with this? And does any side know we're allied to both sides or even doing this job?"

[Dwarmin]

"So let me get this right-I'm new here, remember-a KOTS faction friendly to us is attacking the local government, which safeguards the peace which we have sworn to protect?"

Instant headache.

"All in all, sounds like a bad deal. Two allies who are potential hostiles and know we are coming. Should we just stand in the middle of them are ask them to go through us to get to the other?" She asked, mostly sarcastically.

[SeriousConcentrate]

Rags shrugged. "We do the mission. The Kings of The Street are the people who scorched the Fang, and multiple factions or not they're still the ones behind releasing Virgil and kidnapping Lucy. Additionally, the PCNA has no reason to deny us intel on Virgil. The choice is obvious."

[Taricus]

"And there's the other thing. We know who released Virgil. One mister Chekhov, blastoise mutant. I've already gotten paul to to arrange a meeting with him, but no idea what the outcome of that will be.

And if we do the mission, we don't have to worry so much about the majority of the kings, it's the one they're sending in to get the data that we need to intercept. And do note that they HAVE gotten some of the same charges Virgil's men used to assault our base."

Rags raised an eyebrow. "So remind me again what the case for helping them is?"

(Tar said Sami was going to answer my question; working under that assumption)

Doug stood up. "I need to make a call then. I'll be back." Doug walked out of the cafeteria, dialing Vanessa.

The primary reason the attack is going to go ahead is not just intel, it's Vincent trying to protect lucy. He's afraid that if the PCNA, and Vanessa find Virgil first, that they'll also kill Lucy with him. I know that both Lucian and Vincent do not want that under any circumstances."

[Weirdsound]

Vanessa picks up. "Hey Doug. What is going on over there? Sami was acting a bit strange when you put her on the phone last time."
