Niko:

You are eating a late breakfast in the mess hall alone when suddenly you hear a loud boom. There is a flash of light, and next thing you know you wake up in the infirmary and find that it is already bedtime.

Sami:

You grab a very early breakfast and return to your room where you deploy your robot to the airfield and watch it's progress. The automation gets through the swamps without issue, and begins scouting the target area. It remains undetected and moves around the perimeter to survey everything.

The Robot discovers that although the NPO sends patrols through every 30 minutes to an hour, they do not keep much of a fortified position there. There are two manned AA gun sites that serve to discourage unauthorized plane lands, and a baracaded and reinforced Air Traffic Control tower with at least two men inside.

The robot's AI speculates that the NPO doesn't have an air-force to protect, and merely holds the airfield to keep planes from dropping unauthorized goods, services, and people off in their territory.

On it's way out the robot comes across a half eaten corpse in an NPO uniform. Judging from the wounds the AI suspects that a family of Skorpi killed the soldier. Your creation engages in the time honored tradition of corpse looting before continuing it's journey home.

You leave your room to find a scene of chaos downstairs. Someone or something seems to have blasted through the mess hall walls and breached HQ. The fact that a detachment of PCNA guards have arrived means the trouble must have happened some time ago while you had your headphones jacked in to listen to the robot's livestream. Asking around you learn that Niko and Faust have been rather badly injured in the attack and are recovering in the infirmary.

Deciding to leave so as not to get in the way of the investigation, you head out to go Pokemon hunting in swamp. At first you desire to find electric types, but when such Pokemon show up you become desperate to catch anything at all. Eventually your desperation reduces you to firing impossible long ranged shots at distant bird Pokemon, at which point you decide to head back to HQ before you do something really stupid.

Roll After Mods = 9

You head to the labs where you find that Carlos, who avoided the assault by bolting the sturdy door that leads to the crypt with the labs and cells, has also been avoiding the investigation, and has just finished working with Lucian on a Vivisection. You help the pair clean up and bid Lucian good day before putting your Aaron in the scanner. The little creature has a hard time holding still for the scan to work properly, but within half an hour you have produced a full body image of your Aaron for Dr. Gonzalez to analyses.

"Ahora podemos em enviar de vuelta cuando se gastan! That should be enough data to finish work on those mutant shipping containers. I should have the crates ready for production by the time you get back from your next mission!"

Doug:

You stay up late and hit the town at about 1 in the morning to hunt down Scarface. You find him quickly enough, in an alleyway beind a biker bar, where he is shaking down a human and a mutant for information. His victims don't appear to be talking. You approach, and the agent recognizes you. With a gesture he invites you to join in on the act, and within a few minutes your combined efforts get them to sing. Although it is late, you manage to remember a few key bits of the discussion.

"I don't know where or what the target is! But boss realy wants in. He got his hands on some C-muthafucking-4 for the job! Its gonna be a blast!"

"I hear Checkov found the big man and talked him out of retirement! I'm not sure it that is a foolish or genius move, but as long as I'm paid to work with them, I wont complain."

"Yeah... you best threaten us now! Within a few days, they entire northern half of the island will FUCKIN FEAR US LIKE THE NIGHT ITSELF!"

"No. I haven't seen De-Morris around anywhere. They are saying his partner Helmsly killed him over that damned bike prototype. I'll have to ask Helm myself, he runs with our group now."

Eventually the interview concludes and Scarface hands you a package to deliver, before turning his victims loose. "Feakin infighting... Its gonna tear the damn kings apart one of these days." He mutters as you set out on your way. You deliver the package without incident and collect your pay!

You get to bed. Since you were up so late you sleep in quite a bit. When you wake up you find the imeadiate aftermath of an attack. Somebody has blasted through the walls and had gotten into the main office to cause some damage before retreating. It would seem that Llewyn, Rags, and a couple friendly KotS members seem to have beat them off and taken a couple prisoners. You recognized one of them as the human you helped Scarface grill earlier that very morning. You call in the PCNA guards and warn the KotS members to leave before they show up.

As you help drag a wounded Niko to the infirmary a horrible thought dawns upon you: You haven't seen Lucy since the attack... If only you had known last night... you could have done something.

You decide to unwind and put your mind at ease by interrogating Locke Kull. Sadly you quickly learn that Kull (as well as varients 'Cole' 'Kul' 'Kule' and 'Cool') is a common last name on the island, derived from the name of one of the gods who helped set up the Dungeon. It is especially popular among lines of steel type mutants. Locke doesn't know anybody named De-Morris, nor has he heard of a prototype bike.

The interogation is not a total loss however, as you get Locke to mention a few hidden nooks on the ship graveyard that the main PCNA raiding force would have likely missed.

Doug gets a permanent +2 Bonus to Undefined or Item Search exploration actions in the ship graveyard!
Roll After Mods = 18

Down in the laboratory your luck with Locke isn't nearly as good. His anatomy is completely alien, and you end up pulling of a bit that must have been essential, as he instantly drops dead no more than 4 minutes into the procedure. With a shrug you drag the poor mutant to the freezer, not even knowing if he can decompose or not.

Llewyn + Susan

The pair of you head down to the beach in your swimsuits, and relax among the waves right out in front of headquarters for a bit. Eventually Lucian, who you were with, decides to wander off to look for work, leaving the women alone.

The beach is calm and the water warm today. Several children build sandcastles nearby and men walking the beach without any clear purpose occasionally pause to throw catcalls in your direction. The illusion of peace however is quickly broken when Stormy spots frantically sprinting down the beach. When she points them out to Rags the medic recognizes them right away as Paul Chambers and Doug Vincent; two members of the KotS based out of the remaining fang. She explains to the new agent that the group once helped them raid a JS weapons stash in an earlier mission.

Rags exits the water and flags the pair down. They approach, and Paul starts talking. "There isn't much time! The KotS isn't exactly a unified faction. Some bad people got there hands on KotS resources, and we learned that they plan on attacking your HQ. We have to move quickly. The attack could start any min-"

Paul is cut off by a large explosion, and a plume of black smoke rises from the re-purposed church that you call home. You rush up the beach, and make it back within 10 minutes. You arrive to find a huge hole blasted through one of the walls, exposing the mess hall and offices to the outside world. Several motorbikes screech away as you aproach, but six intruders remain. They are mostly human, with a mutant leader, and all wear KotS gear.

At first you think you are hopelessly outnumbered, but luckily Paul and Doug Vincent catch up before you are notice. Not knowing who is still alive or healthy inside the base, or if anymore foes are about, Stormy makes the bold call to attack them with a two man disadvantage. Rags and the others follow her lead, and the element of surprise works to your advantage. Four of the intruders are quickly driven off, and the remaining two (Including the mutant leader) are captured.

At this point Douglas Wert enters the room and summons some PCNA backup, warning the friendly KotS members to flee before the cops arrive. Doug V. and Paul take the hint and say their goodbyes, offering on the way out to fill you in on some of the details should you wish to stop by the Northwest Fang for a talk.

Lucian:

You walk Susan and Stormy down to the beach and watch them for a few minutes before heading inland to find work elsewhere. It is a bit of a walk before you reach the busy part of town where people important enough to likely offer jobs hang around, and just as you get there an explosion and plume of smoke from the direction of HQ convinces you to abandon your quest and hurry back home.

Back at base you find your worst fears are realized. There is a huge mess, Faust and Niko are both out of commission, and Doug informs you in a rather insensitive fashion that your adopted sister Lucy is either dead or kidnapped. You spend the rest of the day in your room sobbing and stewing in your own juices, only coming out in the evening when one of the Smith Twins informs you that Faust had left the infirmary and posted a mission implying that Lucy is alive and a potential rescue operation is already being planned.

Damn... The dice don't care for you...

Llewyn:

You get drafted to help with the cleanup and investigation after the attack. You learn from Faust in the infirmary that the attackers were about 15 strong and seemed to be after Lucy in particular. They managed to kill the German Agent's Magmar and Lucy's Meowth over the course of the swift and one sided battle, and dragged those corpses off as well. The six remaining attackers were trying to get into the labs or cells down in the basement, but Carlos had bolted the heavy and ancient doors leading down at the first sign of trouble and the attackers must not have brought a second explosive charge with them.

Sadly all this debreifing sucks up all the time you had planned to use to sell Cubchoo on the streets.

Roll After Mods = 10

Eventually you decide to try and normalize things by grabbing the scrap of Latin Text, a translation dictionary, and heading to your room for a long and boring evening of laboriously translating the text into a tongue that the group eggheads can understand. From what you can discern the text seems to tell the story of a battle between one of the Caesars and a man who could command armies of walking pokemon corpses.

Satisfied with your work you drop the document back off with Rik, head down to what is left of the mess hall for a quick dinner, and return to bed for some much needed sleep.

Susan knocked on Lucian's door. "Lucian? Are you there? It's me, Sue," she said, waiting outside the door and feeling a little foolish. She wasn't sure what to say to her fellow agent - just that she felt sorry for him and wanted to help out, if she could. She had yet to 'lose' a loved one - knock on wood; thankfully Carlos had managed to seal off his section of the base before the attack - but she imagined Lucy's kidnapping felt a lot worse to him than it did her, and it sure as hell wasn't sitting well in her opinion. Bastard gang members. How dare they attack us and kidnap a fourteen year old girl?

"It's open," Lucian calls out, his voice is calm, almost dangerously so, his despair having turned to cold fury a long time ago. Susan would be able to tell as he held what looked like a bottle of the basic mutant cure and the stones in the glass case. He sets the cure down and turns to Susan as she enters. Anyone used to Lucian would be able to tell the difference immediately, though they'd never be able to identify what it was about him that was different, there was just an air of danger around him.

Doug sits in the warden's office of the prison, deep in paperwork. Since most of the paperwork was done by the AI nowadays, he could just fill n the stuff that needed lies in it. And oh boy, there are a LOT of those. Prisoners complaints to dispose of, check boxes that needed to be filled in, wow. But while taking a break, he stood up and looked at the billboard he kept on his side, one showing all the prisoners, former and current. He took a purple string tying Locke and De-Morris and paused at Lucy's picture. <...why in the world would they capture Lucy?> He took out his file on her out of the cabinet and reviewed it. <Only crime was in PCNA territory, former boss now KotS, but helped out with the repelling...> Doug shook his head. <No one's going to like this, but I may need to "interview" her later if she doesn't cooperate.> He checks more files, one with the information he gleamed off with Scarface the day before and one listing all known mutants and where to find them. <...Helm. Looks like I have a target for tomorrow.>

Susan closed the door quietly behind her and made her way over to Lucian, feeling a little unsure as she sat next to him on the bed. Interacting with other people had never been her forte. After a moment she produced a small brown bag from her coat and handed it to him. "...You haven't eaten all day. I'm not a passable cook by any means, but here." Whenever Lucian got around to opening it, he'd find it contained a pair of turkey sandwiches and a rather generic cola. After handing the bag off, she looked down for a few moments, then at the case in his hand, then met his eyes.

"I'm sorry, Lucian. I don't know what to say. I just... I don't know why they would take Lucy. It doesn't make any sense to me." Susan sighed and put a hand on Lucian's shoulder. "We'll get her back. I'm sure everyone else will pitch in, but if they don't, well... I'll go with you to rescue her." She could tell he was angry at the moment - beyond the feeling in the air, his body language said as much. She would have been much more worried about him if he wasn't. Comparatively speaking, anger was good; if he was wallowing in despair it was likely he wouldn't have the ability to get up and go after Lucy. But anger, ah... Anger could and probably would be channeled into getting her back.

Unsure of what to say but not wanting to just awkwardly leave, she squeezed his shoulder lightly and waited to see if he had anything he wanted to get off his chest.

Lucian stays silent for a moment, then relaxes slightly, "thanks, it, it means a lot," he says quietly, "I just have a little trouble with the people I consider family... yourself included," he says slightly awkwardly. The anger was still there, but it was suppressed for the moment, letting much of the pressure in the air dissipate, "I need to speak with Dr. Gonzales..." he says, looking up for the first time since Rags had entered, an almost manic gleam was in his eyes, "he probably won't even consider it, but I have to ask him anyway," he stands, and the gleam that was there fades, "...would you mind coming along? He might actually listen if you're there."

Susan hesitated for a moment, not sure what he wanted with Carlos... then nodded and stood. "All right. I'll come with you," she said, opening the door for him.

Lucian actually pauses, "was sort of expecting you to ask what I was thinking before agreeing," he says, going back to normal, he sighs, "it's probably best I do anyway..." he goes silent for a bit before starting up again, "I had heard that he had turned himself into a mutant at some point... I want to see if he'd be interested in recreating the process..." he says, "it'd help us in future fights, and if it can be done quickly, it would help us all to save Lucy..." he sighs after talking it out, he looked, deflated, "what am I thinking?" he retakes his seat, "even if it was a more subtle change than Carlos's, it'd likely cause more trouble than it's worth..." he seems conflicted, even someone that had trouble reading people would see it, he wasn't in the right mindset to think about this sort of thing, and it pained him to think of it, or the reason behind thinking of it.

Doug takes out a paper for the folder he was carrying. "This man's name is Maynard Helm. He's part of the KotS group that captured Lucy. I'm hunting for him after your mission, since he also happens to have a piece of a prototype I'm looking for. Wanna come along?"

Lucian's anger is immediately radiated throughout the room once more, but quickly brought under control again, "count me in," this may have been one of the few times he was glad to have Doug around, he'd let him handle interrogations, but Lucian could definitely help catch the guy.

"Was planning to ask her anyway, I'd like to know why they're after her as well, I hope you do the same with the guys we manage to bring back... I have a feeling though, and it's not a good one..." Lucian replies, he had thought of many scenarios and reasons already, most of them not ending well for either side, esspecially if it has to do with the kind of mutant she was...
