Third Action: Search for a berry market in Tropical Sands, mainly focusing on the bitter varieties (Total Skill modifier is +1)

Sami came out of her quarters after small amount of time post-tour, her dress shoes tapping the floor lightly as she walkes, tailed by a small, innoculous drone that hovered to about face height for her. Her two pokemon were still in their balls, safely stowed away in the breastcoat's inner pocket, as she strolls down to the vending machines within her nice, three-piece business suit, her cyan and purple striped tie swaying mildly from her neck as she walks.

She soon stops at the assortment of machines, one in particular selling pokeballs, before going up to one of the drinks machines and looking at the various options as the drone circled around her like a hyperactive taillow.

Susan, fresh from the autopsy, just happened to be going past the vending machines on her way back to her room to put on cleaner clothes for her trek out into the city. Upon spotting the other woman - dressed in quite a respectable manner, no less - who was on the plane on the trip in, she circled once and slid to a stop near her. "Good afternoon, ma'am. As we are going to be working together, I thought it prudent I introduce myself to you. I am Doctor Susannah 'Rags' Traverse." She held out her hand to Sami.

Sami turns around to face the stranger that was onboard the same flight as her. After hearing Susan's introduction, she replied with her own. "Sami Taiya, electrical and computer systems engineer. The drone here is the current chassis for Alan. Don't mind his current flight patterns, he's just set to follow me around for now." Sami took Susan's hand once it was offered, giving it a respectful shake.

"I assume you'll be one of my colleagues for this assignment?"

Susan nodded in respect to the older woman. "Yes, ma'am. The other one with us is a pokemon breeder, Mr. Niko Gerrin. I believe he's went to go talk to our overseers about the missions they have available for us. And that's a very interesting robot... although I'm afraid I'm more used to dealing with flesh than metal." She held out a hand toward Alan uncertainly, unsure if it was good form to pet him, before deciding that it wasn't and folding her hands in front of her. "I plan to head out into the town soon and get a feel for the city. Would you like to come with me, Miss Taiya?" she asked.

Sami repaid the nod in kind, before continuing to talk. "Only one other? And a breeder at that? Really must be hurting for manpower if we're send one of them out into the front lines. And Alan is indeed interesting. You wouldn't believe the amount of effort it took to build him, especially without forfeiting the patent for the AI chip and the chassis." Sami payed no heed to Susan's attempt to pet the drone, nor did the drone pay much attention to susan's hand with it being more occupied with circuling susan's body instead.
"Well, I do intend to go into town soon for some supplies, so I think I shall come along, if you don't mind Miss Traverse."

"Odd. We're all specialists in one field or another, but none of us are what I would call fighters. That is something we'll have to rectify immediately. We shall have to ask if there are any combat courses available to us." She watched Alan for a moment as he circled around her. "Forgive me for asking so bluntly, but how does he work so well? Surely he requires some sort of replenishable fuel source... and yes, I would quite like to have you along for company, Miss Taiya." She bowed slightly as she said so.

Niko, having had his discussion on mission intel and picked up his duo, starts to return to his room when he sees Susan and who he believes to be the other recruit talking.  His eyes are immediately drawn to the mysterious object floating around the room as he made his approach.

"Hello Doc, and Miss."  He extends his hand to grasp Sami's hand.  "Niko Gerrin.  Pleasure to meet you."

"Mr. Gerrin," Susan said, greeting him with an incline of her upper body. She noticed him watching Alan and rolled back slightly to allow Niko to step closer and speak with them easier. "This is Miss Taiya's creation, Alan. He seems to be quite an energetic robot. The design is fascinating, and, I have to admit, baffling... although as I said to Miss Taiya, robotics are hardly my specialty."

Mine either.  They are intriguing and have an almost limitless potential.  I just have had little reason to devote much attention to them, but this little guy may change my mind a bit."  Niko pondered the possibilities with the missions at hand, then turned his focus to his specialty and let Milli and Haline out of their balls.  "I promised you an Introduction.  The bigger one is Milli, the other is Haline."  The duo looks about, familiarizing themselves with the new environment, and slowly and cautiously approach the ladies in their midst.

"Well, most of the chassis is storage for the computer, and the power source is a trade secret for now. I wouldn't trust any of the native powers here with that sort of tech." Sami turned to Niko once he arrived. "Pleasure to meet you Mr. Gerrin. Sami Taiya, Electrical and computer systems engineer, and one of squadmates for this assignment." Sami offered her hand out to Nike for a handshake after he has let his pokemon out.

"I suppose I should introduce my own pokemon as a matter of politeness? I'm sure Vanadia and Seivette would be happy to meet the four of you. Though it may get them into a state where training them isn't exactly optimal today though..." Sami says, as Alan starts hovering around Niko...

Susan crouched to play with Milli and Haline, scratching them behind the ears. "They really are quite cute. I would introduce my two to them, but Trellis tends to want to pay attention to Core only when they're both out. I can't imagine why. Who's a beautiful girl? You are!" Rags looked up at Sami after hearing her mention training her pokemon. "Vanadia and Seivette? What kind of pokemon are they? My own are a bulbasaur and a geodude, respectively."
