1. Explore The Fangs (the slums one). Mod is Spirit 7 + Intuition 4 = 11 / 2 = 5.5
2. Explore Swamp with Niko. Mod is Intelligence 5 + Perception 2 = 7 / 2 = 3.5
3. Explore Tropical Sands with Rags. Mod is Power 3 + Athletics 0 = 3 / 2 = 1.5 - 2 = -0.5

(Recieved 1 damn injury, *sigh* Could I switch the roll from 2 to 3 since I'm not doing that now or are they locked as is? Took a Ralts.)

1. Meet with Jordan Fine to pickup information. (Mod is Spirit 4 + Charm 1 = 5 / 2 = 2.5. If the +3 bonus is applied beforehand, then the equation is Spr 4 + Charm 4 = 8 / 2 = 4. I'm aware that it's 95% likely it isn't added first, but I'm including it here to be more helpful. :P)
2. Head to the Haunted Pier and Capture a Dark Type. (Mod is Pow 2 + Athl 2 = 4 /2 = 2.)
3. Take a stroll on the Tropical Sands, looking for nothing in particular. (Mod is Int 5 + Per 1 = 6 / 2 = 3.)

Also I took an Unown and a Skitty.

Niko:

After spending a good chunk of time in bed recuperating from your injuries, you head to the lab for a bit of dissection work. You call for Gerald's corpses to be brought in, in hopes of spotting some things you might have missed during the Vivesection.

You cut the dead bug-man open in search for his power source. With the help of a car battery, tweezers, and an EKG machine you manage to locate several organs capable of producing electricity. You remove these, photograph them, and cut them open to see what makes them tick. You spend several hours taking notes in this area, before putting the electrical organs in a jars to be frozen separately.

Finally to take a swab of the dead man's DNA, which you hand over to Carlos to be processed. The scientist is ecstatic. "Claro que sí! Very good! These DNA samples should put us on the path towards being able to cure lesser mutants! Furthermore I should be able to replicate that freaks power-source. I can use that to give you all handheld Pokemon Indexes like the elite agents have!"

Roll After Mods = 15
Modern Scanners Have Been Fully Researched!
Progress made towards Basic Mutation Cure!

Sami:

Faust is a stickler for following WPSF policy for wounded agents. In spite of your protests he forces you to rest until you are fully recovered. By the time you are cleared to leave the infirmary it is too late in the day for you to bother chasing down the Hitmonlee mutant's girlfriend.

You set up and deploy your new remote drone to pay another visit to the airfield. There are no troops around this time, and the drone as free reign of the place. You spend a few hours exploring various hangers, shacks, abandoned planes, and towers. Along the way you note the location of several nests of interesting wild Pokemon. You are not sure if the Pokemon will maintain their current nests for long, expecialy since you disturbed some of them with your drone, but your notes should give the WPSF a heads up while hunting for Pokemon at the airport in the near future.

+2 to all Pokemon Hunts at the Airfield for the next 4 forum turns!

Returning once more to the interrogation room, you send for Mark. Doug shows up to help, but Mark is willing to talk so you send the creepy new agent away. You doubt people who are willing to talk are his specialty...

Mark has plenty to say, but none of it is particularly useful. Before the island went to hell a few years back, he was a teenage waiter at an ocean view seafood eatery. Although he feared the PCNA would kill him if they discovered his condition, Mark couldn't stand the rebels. They were all either ex-cons, mutant supremacists, or anarchists.

Mark decided to throw in his hat with the PCNA, and took work as a messenger where he put his parkour and skateboard skills to the ultimate test. He served for two years before tragedy struck. Mark's estranged parents assumed that their son, as a mutant himself, would join the rebels. Looking to stick up for their child, and perhaps reconnect with him, they signed up in opposition to the President General. His mother was killed in action, and the tragedy was enough to make Mark resign from his post when he found out. Since then Mark has tried to forget his troubles through extreme sports, drugs, booze, and women.

You learn that he still has alot of family on all sides of the civil war. His father makes arms for the KotS and his mother gave her life in service to that faction as a spy. His maternal grandfather works as a chef on the President General's private island, and his maternal uncle is the counterintelligence agent who slew his mother. He has numerous cousins that serve in the military of all four factions. Mark has long since cut his family from his life, and cannot give you reliable contact information for anybody.

Lucian:

As you approach the Southeast Fang, you see smoke and hear screams rising from it. You sneak into the area through the sewers, bypassing the checkpoint. You pop open a manhole cover and find yourself in hell.

The entire area is burning. Every so often an explosion goes off. Eventually a crowd of civilians runs by; you can see from their auras and complexion that they are all dying of poison. Deciding that you don't want to meet the same fate you head back towards the manhole through which you entered but manage to let lost in a cloud of smoke.

It takes you awhile, and there are a few close scares involving fire and choking along the way, but eventually you find your escape; or so you think. The interior is clearly different from the one you arrived from, and an injured woman lies on the ground screaming. Upon further inspection this person turns out to be a Gothita mutant in a Județul Sugar uniform. She looks a bit familiar; perhaps she is related to the Romanian Countess. If so she likely has a high rank. You knock her out, loot her, and haul her through the tunnel and back to a nice warm cell at HQ.

Susan:

You head to the pier in hopes of catching a dark type. You wait around for hours, passing on several ghosts that are not part dark type, but to your dismay nothing you want shows up before your scheduled walk on the beach with Lucian.

Roll After Mods = 13

Doug:

After returning from your hike, you spend the rest of the afternoon beating some experience into your Pokemon. Literally.
+91 EXP!

Doug + Lucian + Susan:

The three of you begin walking up the PCNA held beaches near the Tropical Sands comunity. Ingoring the pillars of smoke rising from The Fangs all seems normal here - a rareity from what you have seen of Port Cane so far. Children play and men fish and barbecue. Several surfers even dot the waves.

But as usual the peace is quickly interrupted; this time by a group of small children running in the opposite direction, screaming murder! You round the corner to investigate and are greeted by the massive hulking form of a dead Wailmer. A dead woman lies nearby and is being looted by a man in civilian garb.

The party identifies itself as cops and asks the looter what had happened in hopes of getting to the bottom of the situation. The whole incident turns out to be a friendly battle gone wrong. The woman's Pikachu had slain the another trainer's longtime partner Wailmer with a critical hit thunderbolt attack. The trainer promptly lost his cool and shot both the Pikachu and the woman dead in cold blood.

The killer seems to have been injured in the encounter, and you all have no trouble tracking him down to a picnic blanket a bit further up the beach where his two children are hard at work cooking a Pikachu and bandaging their father's gashed leg. The three of them, like many Port Cane natives, are a bit malnourished. The man is in no position to fight back, and promises to make it worth your while if you let him go and forget you ever saw him.

The stubborn killer refuses to explain what he can do in return for his freedom, but Lucian can, through the man's aura, tell his offer is sincere and that the murderer believes that whatever he has in mind is quite valuable.

Take a human Prisoner and some loot? Or the mystery offer?

Doug = 5
Lucian = 12
Susan = 22
Final Roll = 23

---

Newsflash: Județul Sugar attempted to invade the Southeast Fang today, only to walk into a trap. The Kings of the Street had rigged almost every building in the area to burn or explode, and buried a lot of poison gas mines. The Kings retreated at the first sign of Județul Sugar's attack and activated their traps. The extent of Județul Sugar's losses are unknown at the moment, but almost every building in the area has been totaled. It is likely that the Kings of the Street would have had to kill most or all of the local civilians in the Southeast Fang to prepare and keep secret their trap.

A research breakthrough has been made! Everybody gains a Trainer Level!

@The Beach
Lucian shakes his head at the man, "I am sorry, but we would have to take you in regardless," he looks at the children and sighs, "however, I believe these kids rely on you correct? If you provide us with the information and cooperate in custody, as well as admit to the crime in question, we can lighten your sentence as well as provide temporary housing at HQ for them until such a time as you are released or a relative is able to pick them up. You will also have to deal with the family of the woman, regardless. We cannot stop that from occuring. And I'd wager if they found you outside of a cell they'd to you what you did to that woman. You might actually be better off in HQ anyway."

Once the day is done, Lucian goes to get the Gothita mutant some additional medical aid if she is not already up and about and takes the Umbreon to offer to Niko and the Murkrow to offer to Rags after her failed attempt to get a Dark Type earlier. He keeps the sword and sees if he can get any special traits on it identified by the people that run and stock the Armory.

(I'd like to interrogate the Gothita Mutant before anything else occurs, if that's okay with everyone. So no Vivisecting until I do so please. If possible, I'd actually like to RP out the Interrogation, too.)

I'll be keeping the link and the count for how many trainer levels gained so far through Trainer EXP in my post in the front page.

(OK, I'll wait for a bit on that Edro. Also, WS, there should by a Tympole in the list of captured pokemon; I took two, one to keep and one to vivisect, then dissect, then stuff and put on a shelf. :P Finally, updated my character page and quite shamelessly ripped off Kuji's page for Doug since it was a lot cleaner than my previous crappy organization.)

@The Beach
Susan was inclined to proscribe medial experiments on the lot of them, but managed to curb her kneejerk reaction. "What Mr. Constantine says is true. And here." She dug in her purse for a moment and fished out ten $100 bills. "If you come with us peacefully, I'll give this to your family. They should be able to get by for a little while on it. If you come with us peacefully, that is."

The next day, after recovering

Rags stood in her room in her pajamas, studying herself in the mirror as she played the harmonica. It's been simply ages since I've played one of these. But it's a simple skill to pick back up. Really, I forgot how much I quite enjoyed it. And 'Rags Traverse' is a suitable name for a blues player, I think. She smiled at her own joke and played for a few more minutes as she planned out her day.

I think that first, I'll vivisect Kull (Int+Per=3.5). I think I might just kill him on purpose during the procedure as well. From Miss Taiya's report, he certainly deserves it. Then I'll dissect his body afterward (Int+Edu=4) to note the changes from living to dead. It should make some interesting study. Finally, I'll meet up with that biker spy, Mr. Fine. (Spr+Cha=+4, not including female bonus) Perhaps he'll have some interesting info. Before I do anything, though, I should get dressed. It wouldn't do to leave my quarters in my pajamas and my hair a mess. And some coffee might be an idea as well.

(PPE: Go, me. ^^^ Quick question for level 3, Kuji: If I get a new class that raises any stat and I choose an attack stat, do I look for a new move then, or do I only do that when I spend a growth point on a stat? - Answered; thanks Kuji.

And I didn't see that Lucian swung by. Editing in a response to Edro, hopefully he'll see it. If not I'll just C&P it into a new post later. :P)

Before Rags could even think about getting changed out of her PJs, though, there was a light knock at her door. "Just a moment," she replied, attempting to smooth her hair down as much as possible and adjusted her shirt slightly before answering the door. She opened it to reveal Lucian. "Good morning, Mr. Constantine. I was, um..." She trailed off, unable to think of a good excuse, and looked somewhat guiltily at the harmonica in her hand. "I wasn't being too loud, was I? I apologize if so. I was getting back into playing this and I quite lost track of time."

"Actually I wasn't around to hear it, though Lucy mentioned it earlier," Lucian replies with a light smile, "I heard you were looking for a dark-type pokemon yesterday, I managed to capture a gothita mutant that had an Umbreon and Murkrow, since Niko focuses on eevee I'm going to offer him the Umbreon, but," he holds out a pokeball, "I thought you might like the Murkrow," he says, looking a little uneasy now that he's actually noticed what Rags is wearing.

1) Train my Ralts, Seedot, and Budew. Giving the Seedot and Budew one injury each. Uses this as an opportunity to actually befriend the Ralts. (If someone else trains will add in my Yanma and Tympole)
2) Interrogate (more like inquire about) Afina Dobre but playing the good cop, without the bad cop (makes sure Doug isn't there, for now). Mod is Intelligence 5 + Guile 1 = 6 / 2 = 3
3) Relax by walking through Tropical Sands and search for Evo Stones for Lucy in case she feels she needs one. Mod is Spirit 7 + Intuition 4 = 11 / 2 = 5.5

Afterwards, Lucian spends some time with his new "sister", taking her around the base just to talk with her and get her used to the environment, possibly introduce her to some of the other agents, avoiding Carlos and Doug if possible, since she probably wouldn't like meeting Carlos and was most likely still very unnerved (an understatement) by Doug. She also takes her to meet Niko, since she showed some interest in the Eevee Specialist when they mentioned him yesterday.

Later on, he tells her about any evo stones he had obtained (including the Dawn Stone he had gotten from the last Mission), and that he'd be ordering a showcase to put them in that only he and she would have the key to. If she ever felt the need to do so, she could just unlock the case and grab one of the stones, "I hope it never comes to that, but, better safe than sorry right?"

(I'd like to do the Crimson Orb Mission, personally. It'll likely have a big pay off and I want to avoid the "it'll be there next time" thing that sometimes occurs with stuff like this. And it sounds fun.)

(Since Lucian noticed and I hadn't thought about it much, Rags's PJs are now a white shirt that hangs to just above the knees with short blue sleeves. On the left chest is a logo of a sleeping tabby cat.)

"Oh? That's very nice of you, Mr. Constantine. Thank you very much." Susan inclined her head slightly and took the pokeball, setting it on the table near the door for the moment. "I was looking to capture a Dark-type mutant for my research, but I appreciate the thought." She folded her hands in front of her. "I wanted to ask you about Miss O'Neil, actually. She seems awfully terrified of me, and perhaps rightfully so... when she was a prisoner. Would you let her know she's nothing to fear from me now that she's one of us? I'll stay out of her way for the time being, until she's comfortable around the place."

Evolve Seiche using Dawn Stone!
1. Spend time with new Umbreon and try to improve its attitude (Charm/Command mods +4)
2. Join Lucian in training (Haline 14, Milli 14, Seiche 10 >1 injury, Shadow 20>1 injury)
3. Try again for an Eevee egg (EDU mod 4)

Niko, thrilled by his advances in the OR, decided to head outside for some fresh air.  Just as he did, He ran into Lucian.  "An Umbreon, really?  I... I don't know what to say!  Thank you so much.  Is there something I can give you for it, or any kind of compensation?"

After the conversation, Niko continued outside towards the training area to meet his new team member.  Figuring he may need some back up, he brought out his team.  Seeing Seiche, he thought he might want a chance to evolve.  Niko pulled out the Dawn stone and used it.  Following the evolution, he let out Umbreon.

"Hey there, big guy(or girl), nice to meet you.  I'm your new trainer."  He continued to make the introductions, staying as non-hostile as possible. "I think I'll name you Shadow"

Niko thought now would be a good time to train, since he was already set for it, so he began as Lucian appeared. "Great, someone to train with.  Perfect timing!"

After the tough bout of training, he returned to his room and tended to the krabby egg he had received.  Setting it up for optimal conditions, he let Haline and Milli out to do their thing.

With Rags:
"I'll let her know," Lucian replies, "not much I can do about her being afraid of you, but I think she'll come around in time, as long as you don't pull that trick with the glasses again, that really freaked her out, just be yourself and I'm sure she'll open up. Although, you may want to apologize for scaring her yesterday."

With Niko
"I'm fine with just helping you out here, although, I'm sorta hoping you will talk to Lucy, she's curious about you since you specialize in eevees, I'll bring her by later today, actually, if it's alright. She's going to be working with us now so getting to know her would help both of you out, hopefully."
