Was planning on doing it tomorrow. I'll get on it this evening. I left a note on the Doc about Gers EXP situation.

Sami:

You set off on another hike, this time intent on scouting the Northwest Fang. You find this territory to be even more heavily guarded than the last. Even the sewers and tunnels underground you manage to find are gated off and inaccessible. Eventually you give up on an underground approach and just hang around the Checkpoint for awhile. At least 8 guards work the checkpoint at any given moment, and you can tell from a distance that at least a few of them are likely mutants.

Just before you decide to call your exploration a failure you catch a break. Paul Chambers, the KotS officer from your latest mission approaches the gate from the other side. Feeling ballsy you approach the gate and call out to him. Paul waves you in, and you pass through the sealed checkpoint without so much as a pat down.

Paul calls for a motorcycle with a sidecar, and offers to take you on a tour of 'his' fang. Unlike the Southeast fang you explored recently, the Northwest area is pristine and polished. In fact there are hardly any civilians around. Most of the buildings are towering vertical farms.

"We could produce enough food here on this small tract of land to feed the entire island 50 times over! Needless to say this is the one plot of KotS land where everybody wants to live!"

The bike ride takes you around the perimeter of the fang. You notice the KotS are very well entrenched. "Usually the KotS has trouble organizing a proper defense. Our soldiers prefer terrorizing locals and engaging in vice to standing around a bunker or checkpoint all day. Everybody knows how important this land is however. JS will likely attack the fangs soon. They may very well take the other one, but if they try to get through me they may as well just be picking a fist fight with a Hitmonchan."

You are taken past a small block of white buildings that seem to be labs of some sort or another. Paul tells you to pay them no heed.

After the tour Paul brings up the prospect of more work. "Alright. Doug seems to trust you, and he is a good friend of mine, so if you want I can get you some errands to run. Your group seems to have free reign of PCNA turf. I wont ask how. I have three spies up there who likely have some new Intel for me by now. Get their information back to the Fangs, and I'll pay you handsomely. Do it right and I might consider hiring you in some situations where I might otherwise call upon my own troops."

KotS Contact Actions have been made avaible.
Roll After Mods = 17

Susan:

You head for the swamps and wander around inside for a bit before stumbling into quicksand. Try as you might to escape you are stuck fast. You struggle for hours, watching several interesting Pokemon including Stunfisk, Whooper, and Gloom go by at a safe distance. Eventually, to your embarrassment, you are rescued by an NPO patrol consisting of two humans and a munchlax mutant.

"Silly unenlightened human." the leader crows. "Wandering around in the swamp alone is dangerous. You should get home. Have a peaceful day."

Not wanting to pick a fight where you are outnumbered 3 to 1, you hang your head in shame and slink back to base. To make matters even more painful you remember halfway back that your Bulbasaur could have likely gotten you out without any trouble.

Exploration Roll After Mods: 9
Hunting Roll After Mods: 11

Niko

You spend the morning busting your ass out on the street looking to trade some of the new Pokemon you picked up. Eventually you find a group gathered together to make trades, and settle in with them for awhile. By the time you have to return to base to help with the research, you have managed to win the following offers. One of them even contains an evolution stone!

All Three of the Pokemon:
A fellow breeder offers to take all three Pokemon off your hands in exchange for a Lvl 16 Adamant Farfetch'd with the Egg Moves Leaf Blade and Roost.

Any Two of the Pokemon:
A young kid informs you that his only Pokemon, a Pichu, was recently confiscated by the NPO while he was exploring the swamps. He is willing to unload the thunder stone he had been saving for it in exchange for a few new Pokemon to raise.

The Meowth:
A strange middle aged lady, already followed by a small pack of Meowth, Skitty, Glameow, and Purlion, offers to teach one of your Eevee Wish in exchange for your cat Pokemon.

The Turtwig:
Yet another weirdo, who spends most of his time trying to convince you that the mutants are a sign of the end times, offers to put you in touch with the cloister community in the barren peninsula in exchange for a Pokemon that evolves into a ground type.

The Lotad:

A PCNA soldier informs you that his barracks is putting together an informal low level Pokemon League and that he has been tapped to be the water type gym leader. He needs water Pokemon and would be willing to give you 5 Net Balls and league entry for yours.

You consider the offers, perhaps accepting one, before heading back to the base to participate in the vivisection. Roll After Mods = 16

---

After the research work you take your two adult Eevee (And perhaps another Pokemon depending on what trades you accept) out for a nice long jog to build endurance and enjoy the beautiful Port Cane sunset. You then get home, shower, and hit the sack. +35 EXP! The Mechanics Department would like me to remind you that more exp is gained by adding injuries or convincing others to train with you.

Sami + Lucian:

The Mawile mutant proves to be a tough nut to crack, but eventually your 'bad cop-worse cop' routine, guided by Lucian's aura reading, gets him talking about Chekhov.

You learn the Chekhov is a Machamp mutant and key figure in the KotS. Until very recently he was in charge of running the critical Northwest Fang. A few weeks ago however he abrupty retired to Imperial Heights, a neighborhood on the south end of the island and firmly in KotS territory.

Since he left rumors have begun to spread that Chekhov had contracted some sort of terminal illness, and that he might have sold out a few brutal officers that nobody would miss to the PCNA and NPO in exchange for money to leave his heirs as an inheritance. It is said he has a couple children, nieces, and nephews safely tucked away in the distant WPSF controlled London Green Zone in England to whom he might try and leave his estate.

Upon his departure Chekhov split his power between Paul Chambers, a renowned street soldier and KotS hero, and the Drowzee mutant Tina 'Nightmare' McCoy. In theory Paul is supposed to manage the defenders, and Tina the agriculture and research, but the pair hate each others guts and keep trying to intrude in each others business.

The pair of you could have likely gotten more information, but Lucian spots Susan and Niko waiting outside to take the prisoner away for a bit of probing, and talks Sami into taking lunch and letting the research team get started.

Lucian's Roll After Mods = 15
Sami's Roll After Mods = 13
13/4 Rounds to 3
15 + 3 = 18

Lucian + Susan + Niko:

For once a procedure goes entirely as planned. Susan administers the anesthetic, makes the cuts, and keeps the vic... erm subject from bleeding out. Niko photographs, measures, and documents organs and other internal features. Lucian points some equipment at him to see how his body and aura react to particular wavelengths of energy.

When you finish Dr. Gonzolez inputs all the data and Rags sews De-Morris back up. The prisoner is woken up and brought back to his cell with only a slight scar to show for his trouble.

"Very good amigos! With our data collected to day we are nearing two major breakthroughs! This outpost is on the path to greatness! Keep up the great work!"

Basic Mutation Theory is nearing a breakthrough! Dissect or Vivisect one more mutant of an elemental type not yet used to unlock a TL up and four new research projects!

Modern Scanners is nearing a breakthrough! Dissect or Vivisect one electric type mutant or pokemon to unlock safe labratory scanners and pokedexes to collect trainer exp with!

Lucian's Roll After Mods = 5
Susan's Roll After Mods = 7
Niko's Roll After Mods = 14
5/4 Rounds to 1
14 + 1 = 15

Lucian's Eggs are IDed as Trapinch and Krabby

(OP to be updated at some point tomorrow. )

(Unless another mission is available after the OP is updated, I'm going to go ahead and vote for Silence the Voice of Reason. I feel we're getting along pretty good with the KotS right now and I think we should be their allies for a little while longer; the only other available mission puts us in direct conflict with them, and I think it's better to not do it than to risk potential survivors getting us in trouble with the few contacts we've made there.)

(I did say 'Unless another mission is available after the OP is updated', Kuji. :P If there is indeed one or two more choices once it's been updated, I might end up changing my decision, but until then this is my vote.))

(I'm not so sure. The mission we just did isn't on that list, but it was a few days ago... It might be a case of WS deleting one and forgetting the others, but I dunno. ^^^;)

The first one puts you in conflict with the NPO not the KotS.

I was hoping Ger would post before I updated the OP. What he picks for his trade could influence what goes on the OP. I'm not going to wait on him forever though, and will start the update at noonish hopefully. (3ish hours)

(I know... I said the second one, Operation Mousetrap, would put us in conflict with the KotS...)

Take the deals for the thunderstone and to get in with the cloister community.

((I'm not going to vote since I'll be missing this sunday as well.  It will be my last one missed.))
