Pistol Training (Las) doesn't give you a bonus to hit. It removes a penalty to hit.

Yeah, if using a weapon you're not trained with you cop a big penalty- I believe you lose half of your BS/WS, but it might be different in DH.

One of the things I find bizarre is having to purchase the Melee Weapon (Shock) to effectively wield an iconic symbol of the arbitrators: a shock maul.

In these moments, I miss Alexavius and his high Fellowship stat coupled with Barter. Yoink, at least 50% of the fault for that RT's game hiatus/death is your fault. :V

Also, @GM:
- Are we using Dark Heresy or Rogue Trader rules on Bolt Weaponry? In RT they have the Tearing special quality, but in DH they don't;
- What would you rule as being the benefits for having the talent Peer (Adeptus Arbites)?

Well gee, thanks for reminding me of that. Not like I felt bad about it or anything, or that I was reluctant to even join another PbP game incase I'd screw up again... Eesh.

That's why I ended up playing a butler in the first place, although Mister Hurk has quickly become a fun character himself.
