Christmas Report
Good evening everymeow, fourth report is a go.
In summary what can we say about Lemon's progress?
Fantastic.
This report is a bit lazier than the others, nothing really interesting happened combat or relationship wise, but our industries and infrastructure have improved somewhat.
Lapse:
First thing done before unpausing was the designation of several areas and jobs.
We designated the construction of 3 barrack's, including armories and sleeping quarters for each.
One office and three holding cells were also designated.
Several large rooms that will be used for our metal industry were designated south of our stone-layer workshops and a kennel/animal training area was also designated for digging.
A large room was also designated behind the hospital, this will be used for it's expansion later on.
A new chicken coop was designated in the soil layer, adjacent to our original coop, it is here where we will sort out which scootaloo's go to the chopping block and which ones get to live to give their unborn children to our cooking industry.
Lastly, a huge meeting hall expansion was designated, this is going to be filled with tables and chairs once we have some to spare.
In terms of constructing we initiated the construction of walls and roofs for our surface farms to protect the ponies working them from irradiated storms, it's slow work, but will be worth it in the end.
Since space is limited we will be expanding our farms upwards, muddying the constructed stone floors will allow for surface plant farming on multiple z levels and save us a bunch of space. Plus it will look really cool.
To get the water we will have to pump it upwards from the brook and find a way to dispose of it quickly, this will serve as our first "serious" project and will act as the foundation of our surface "citadel", a military centric tower protected by robots and militia.
We also opened up all our crates, and just like I had predicted we got a shitload of sweet gifts from santa pony, whoever the hell that is.
Among the most impressive things scavenged was a set of steel combat armor (which will be used to train armor user for Lycaeon at the armory), over 50 steel grade weapons, among which we have a thermal lance, several depleted chainsaws, 10 combat rifles, 3 AMR's, steel combat knives, pitchforks, machetes and much else.
We also obtained a large amount of ammunition crates of all types and several terminal components.
Our first terminal built was the MWT Terminal which is needed for the VR Simulator workshop, a new addition by Lycaeon.
The thermal lance and one chainsaw were recharged, resulting in one *plasma energy lance* for Lycaeon and one *steel chainsaw* for Maklak.
The ponies who could were also upgraded to steel grade weapons, but there is currently no available scavenge equivalent of a mace, so Khenal and P(ony)SI keep their copper security batons for the moment.
Other bits of scavenge included several cans of food, which gave us about 50 military rations.
Currently (as in right now) in terms of mentionable looted toy/component scavenge we have:

Summed up, our scavenging industry is going very very well, all we need is to just collect more scavenge and then melt excess steel items into steel bars and make armor out of it.
Moving on.
An unicorn filly was born, but it was not one of ours.
She will become a
n underpaid child worker craftspony when she grows up.
The Brahmin herd is growing fast, this session we milked a few.
We wont be touching the herd until we have them set up underground.
They seem to be completely unaffected by the irradiated storms, despite having been in the midst of them ca 15 times.
While out for whatever reason Crazy Cow's crippled war dog, Worthymushroom (one of two dogs brought on embark and the mother of 3) was caught out on the surface in an irradiated storm, being unable to make it to the hatch in time.
It was hit by the syndromes and hurled all the way down to her masters room.
We considered putting her out of her misery, the dog is crippled and was violently sick, but then she miraculously recovered from her sickness and returned to being just crippled.
This dog is a real survivor I tells ya, she has good genes. Maybe I'll inbred her with her children for more dogs.
A wastelander caravan shows up, but the raised bridge caused the wagon to be left behind.
While on the way to the bridge the caravan was attacked by two black radscorpions, while the guards engaged them the traders went to my depot.
As they fought we traded some of our prepared meals for 10 units of cheese and a couple of bins of cloth and leather (being the only goods they had for trade).
They were pleased with the trading.
While the traders were still at the depot and the guards were busy elsewhere our first hostile appeared.
A raider thief, who was chased away by our turrets.
Not long after that a second raider thief appeared.
Fortunately neither of them raged, choosing instead to run with their tails in between their legs all the way back to their superiors whom we predict will attack within the next year.
The caravan guards killed one of the black radscoprions and chased the other away, they took no wounds and no causalities in the process and soon came running to the depot.
At some point, the sprite-bot Trust Gatedrink was found dead, and that made me pretty sad.
Except not really. I just have no idea what killed it, all my sprite-bots are assigned to my inner perimeter, how one of them managed to get itself killed is beyond me.
Grass Waxlyrics, a swordspony of Assault Squad Alpha went into a fey mood and created Will Craft, The Wills of Crafting, an artifact spintree bracelet becoming a legendary wood worker. We never make wooden crafts anyway so he remains in the militia.
As the artifact was created the Virtual Reality Simulator was built.
It has some interesting options, but clearly require hologems to be used, which we fortunately obtained through our scavenging.
For those who don't know, this is what the VRS list looks like.
They seem to be mainly focused around ranged combat, so it looks like the Archery Range wont be as important after all.
At this point I realized that I could build a kinetic sledgehammer for Crazy Cow, a super sledge, a favored weapon of mine.
As it turned out however a normal sledgehammer is required, and the reaction snagged Crazy Cow's sledge of her hooves.
The weapon is better now sure, but it is still made of copper, we'll have to craft a steel sledgehammer
and then upgrade it for her to make her the ultimate can smasher.
Chicks grow into Hens and Roosters, there is about a 50/50 ratio.
We have designated most of the roosters to be chopped, P(ony)SI and her butcher friends set about doing that.
The meat gain is pathetic and they yield no bones (only skulls), still, it needs to be done to control the population of scootaloos.
We'll figure out what to do with the skulls.
The kennel/training area is also completed, I pastured the dogs there for now, they will be trained later.
Smithing industry rooms are still underway but will soon be prepared, we are currently chopping trees and scavenging coal boxes in preparation for our smelters.
The three barracks and security office/holding cells were also completed.
Our squad now has a barracks and armory set up and a schedule has been made for us.
The schedule is easier on us seeing as we have other duties to attend to other than fighting and killing, so every other month we are relieved from duty.
Stopquest, the artifact armor stand, was moved from Crazy Cow's love den to our barracks. In terms of gameplay this serves absolutely
nooooo function because soldiers do
not admire their barracks furniture, so we might end up moving it back or elsewhere later on.
Indigo_Surprise is eager to get started on her training and goes to perform individual combat drills even when off duty, which is cool, I guess, might help her figure out how to use that steel combat knife of her's without poking her own eye out.
Barracks still haven't been built for the other squads, but these are underway, there is a lot of orders to fill right now so many of our current projects are left at a standstill while we churn out furniture and military equipment.
Lastly to wrap things up a migrant wave shows up.
It had 12 ponies and a few pets.
It resulted in 1 fisherpony, 2 swordspony, 1 riflepony, 1 hammerpony, 1 dead pony*, 2 farmers, 1 smith, 1 martial pony and 1 mechanic.
*Page Glitterspread is out hunting black radscoprions. He might as well be considered KIA.
Assault Squad Alpha was filled, so Assault Squad Bravo was founded for the three remaining melee ponies.
A full time mechanic profession is required now, as much of our industry relies on mechanics and we need mechanics to begin crafting mechanisms soon enough.
Currently the labor is spread in between a few select ponies of different professions, and we can't have mechanics allowed for everypony like I usually do in other stables, and the problem with that is that the mechanic enabled ponies are almost always busy elsewhere, so that's why we now need full time mechanic professions.
Profession:
No significant change worth to note.
Kills and score:
No change in kills.
Replica is just short of becoming a legendary crutch walker.
Lycaeon is almost at level 1 armor user thanks to the VRS.
Replica and Crazy Cow both attained legendary skill in mining.
Aside from this there is nothing to note, this session focused much on building and little on everything else.
