I might be able to do this, but I will of course prefer Saturdays. Because schedule, though I might be able to pull off Fridays (big maybe).

Is Thursday still an option, as mentioned in the first post? I mean, I should be able to swing any of the other days, but I would prefer Thursday. ^^^; That would work for you too, right, Doom?

HRRRRRGH if this wasn't on Maptool...

Looking good, though. Do you guys tend to finish one campaign and then move onto the next one or start several of them and see which ones crumble and which ones strive?

There are lots of good PTA and now even some PTU games that are play by post or on IRC. I'd check this page daily if you are intent on getting pokeymanz  in your tabletop. http://forums.pokemontabletop.com/forum/3102026/

Or you can just bug Kuji. He is a lot closer to the PTA comunity than I am. If a game in progress has an opening, there is a fair chance he knows about it.

As for your question - The second one. My first game started last spring/summer and ran into this late winter/spring. I haven't had nearly as good of a run with anything since.

My other current Pokemon Game is a blast, but we are having some timezone issues with the player base and attendance is suffering. I hope I can see it through to the end. It is a bit less than a third done. If I have alot of time to play during the hollidays it could be the first ever game I finish.

Ok, working through some of this, and hitting some road blocks.

Here's what I have already:

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I think I've followed the wiki there and figured out what all I needed. Nothing here is set in stone, namely the WOC and added move and I may change them before I'm finished depending on the questions below. But I'm now looking at items, and haven't started on pokemon choices yet at all.

So questions:

1. What are the costs of weapons? The PTU wiki has a pretty extensive weapon stat page, talking about keywords and levels of weapons and the like. Do we get one basic weapon free? Can we upgrade it to a more quality one with levels or keywords, and if so how much will that cost? What about additional weapons, if possible what's the cost there as well.

2. Same questions as #1, but with armors/Foci. I assume we don't get any free, but can we buy say, an Amulet of +1 command, or +1 ATK, or some other such thing. I'm not even sure we can get amulets like these. I don't expect to get god equipment from the start, but we do have some money to play around with, and as a WM equipment will be pretty important to me. and the details are a bit confusing at this point.

3. As per pokemon, you said starters can be any mon as long as it can evolve right? To clarify, that means any type of evolution(IE: stone, trade, etc), and any number of evolutions, like a 2 stage mon correct? Does this mean we can start with the 2nd stage of a 3 stage evolving mon?

4. I'm also a bit confused about the move limit. On the to make a trainer page it says the limit is 7 +pound, for a limit of 8, yet on the 'features and more' page it says there's a limit of 6. Not very important on character creation, but kinda should clarify that and fix the one that's wrong there Kuji.

1. Basic weapons with nothing special about them are provided free of charge. If you want something a bit more fancy I'll let you work it with Kuji, but nothing too good to start with.

2. Errrmmm... I'm going to veto starting with armor and foci type stuff. That should have to be researched.

3. Yes to everything, but I can't think of too many non-cacoon stage two Pokemon that exist at level 10

4. Kuji told me 8 the other day.

OK, I think I finished my character. I just need a good image to use as a pog (although I have a few in mind) and a question answered. Is STAB still one point for every five levels? The wiki only mentioned that it exists, not if there was any changes or anything.

Alrighty, updated and hopefully finished my character sheet. Didn't bother with background, as others don't seem to be doing anything with that. At least not publically, I do have details in mind, but will let people find that out in game as we go along. Let me know if there are any issues with item choices or pokemon.

I think Kuji said that STAB does work differently in PTU, but I'll let him reply the details if so.

Also I still need a solid clarification on how many moves are allowed. I'm seeing a limit of 6 moves on several places there on the wiki. So a bit of an overview on things like move amounts, types of moves, if we still have technical and natural movelists and so on would be welcome when Kuji is back from conventionland.

STAB gives you a flat two Base Damage added to your move.

Also, wow, it must have been changed while I was at the con. Yeah, it's six move limit for both trainers and Pokemon.

Moves stay the same in PTA, EXCEPT for one thing: moves use Base Damage, which is basically video game Base Power divided by 10.

Up to HALF of the moves in your Pokemon's movelist can be technical (so, three-three), but you can have six natural moves.

So STAB never increases then and I don't have to worry about it? I'm just checking to make sure.

Alright. Well it looks like we got a few characters in. I might start the forum component of the game Today or Wensday. Since I forgot to reserve a few posts near the top, I'll likely make a new topic for that. Lets keep up the recruiting though.

I am definitely interested, but I can't find where you are getting the pokemon stats, as the pokedex page on the listed site is not there.  But, here is my character design for approval.

The pokedex is a free PDF. I don't remember where you get it from, although Kuji should know. But I'll do what I can to help out and give you Eevee's stuff, so you can stat them up:

Base Stats
HP: 6
Attack: 6
Defense: 5
SpecialAttack: 5
SpecialDefense: 7
Speed: 6

Capabilities
Overland 6
Surface 4
Jump 3
Power 1
Intelligence 4
Tracker

At level 10, both Eevee should know: Helping Hand, Tackle, Tail-Whip, Sand Attack, and Growl. The three abilities you can choose one of for them are: Last Chance, Run Away, and Adaptability.

You can get the Pokedex here. Ignore the other files that come with it. They are for another system.

Glad to have ya Ger. It isn't a Pokemon game until you have a breeder obsessed with completing his Eeveeloution collection.
