Pokemon Tabletop United: Defenders of Cane
« on: November 09, 2012, 02:57:48 pm »

Heya. This will be a game of Pokemon Tabletop United; a TTRPG that lets you play as Pokemon Trainers. The game will take place on Maptools, likely at 7:00 PM PST on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. I myself will be in charge of the story and the head GM, but my good friend KujiUn will be helping me out with the mechanics a bit, because this will be my first PTU game.

For those of you who have played Pokemon Tabletop Adventures before, this isn't quite the same thing. Everything you need to create a character and play should be on this wiki: http://ptu.wikidot.com/

If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Also worth noting is the fact that this game will have some forum game elements. You will be researching researching, exploring, training, and capturing new Pokemon between meetings.

Finally do note that the themes and plots in this campaign will be darker and more mature that what one might expect from a Pokemon game. I doubt however that this will be an issue for an audience recruited from Bay12...

So without any further ado:

If you have any questions feel free to ask myself or Kuji! One of us should be able to help you!

Once Kuji approves your character, you may start posting forum actions here:http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=119049.0

You are missing your move list. Also, please note where you used your growth points. I see two recipes; you still have two GPs unaccounted for.

Well, I remembered that those two were unspent.

Movelist should be coming up later, depending if we get any starting equipment or not.

Either way, your movelist should be:
Pound (Default Move) and
Flash Cannon (Weapon Arm)

Well, I've updated the movelist, as well as spent the growth points I has left over.

I don't have time to make a sheet/read the rules right now, and I'll be moving (quite possibly to an area without internet >.<) sometime before the end of the year, but is it possible for me to reserve a spot here? If so, I'll try to have it up either late today or sometime tomorrow. And what version of Maptools would I need? The same one?

We'll hopefully be using b87, but we have reports of it failing to connect with some players, so b86.

EDIT: OH RIGHT the other question. Uh... that really is a good question. Weird, you answer it!

I assume we have until next week to try and get this character fleshed out? I've some ideas, but not quite sure exactly what I want to play just yet.

I'm working on it now, but I don't see the cost of the First Aid/Medic's Kit on the wiki. I need to know so I can buy it and get the features I want for mah Medic. :P Also, hi again, Haika, Kuji, WS. It's been awhile. ^^^;

Also, nvm, found it in the Medic page. I wasn't looking hard enough and being a loser again. >.<

I'd like to start the first forum turn by the start of next week, and play on maptools next weekend. But if you need a week I guess you get a week. I guess we can say some agents arrive later than others or something.

Too bad I won't be in this one, at the start at least. :P

Keep a seat warm for me though.

That sounds... promising, Dwar. ^^^ It'd be nice to see you there whenever possible.

Also, I believe I've finished the mechanical side of my character. Does it look OK?

Everything looks good SC. Well, except for one thing. Have you picked the move you get thanks to using a growth point on a stat?
