I awaken, my long slumber finally at a end, but something is wrong. It seems that I/we have suffered severe damage to vital systems. While most of the sensors are down what I receive from the audio sensors matches with atmospheric phenomena that would take place within the atmosphere of a planet. High probability that I/we have somehow crash-landed on a planet. Why the navigational computers did not function correctly or rouse me is unknown. This is truly dire circumstances, the self repair systems are offline and our only hope is a auxiliary repair drone. I estimate that the magnitude of this dilemma is beyond my limited problem-solving capabilities. I await input from the organic subcores(OSC) that provide my hybrid system with its creativity, flexibility and primary problem solving capabilities while also serving to ensure that I follow the will of my creators, setting objectives for me to complete, while I, the non-organic component provides the raw computational power to make their wishes into reality.

As the warmup of the OSCs completes, the audio sensors pickup what matches with other known examples of footfalls thudding against ground and breathing.

What does this one do? Advisement is requested.

The drone stirs, its prior stasis completely negated as it exits its storage pod. The data received from its sensors is disturbing to say the least, entire sections of hull and hallway crushed and compacted. The drone is forced to cut  its way to the outside by enlarging a rent in the hull. Its visual sensors report a large quadruped roughly twice its size being led in the direction of our ship by a biped with two manipulative appendages. They are still about 600 metres away. It must be noted that the repair drone has extremely limited combat capabilities.

What must this one do?

Move drone away from ship so as not to make relationship between it and the ship obvious.  Compose a standardized greeting message and broadcast it by all methods the drone is capable of emitting (radio, infrared and other EM bands, audio, whatever).

Aye.  Though I'd like to get an idea what this creature wants before it's close enough to the ship that a possible fight spills inside and causes more damage.

Access Primary Directives Determine our function. We are obviously a machine of some kind. Were we made to perform a specific task or for a specific purpose? That knowledge may alter the way we interact with the incoming being.
