Ok so I captured a sparrow women, it says their tamable. However after she was captured by a cage trap no one went and retrieved it, everyone but my masons and carpenters had the animal hauling enabled but after 2 seasons no one brought it to the animal stockpile which is practically empty. So I just decided to move her to another cage it worked but then she's not on the animal stockpile. What's going on?

Did you accidentally disabled animals on the stockpile? Is it pathable to? It should work fine unless you accidentally messed up the settings.

Well or the cage's built, they can't take cages that's built back to stockpile.

The stockpile was unobstructed I had people taking traps to it.
All animals were enabled.
The cage was siting on the trap with the sparrow woman.
I transferred her to an already built cage but she never showed up in the z-animal list.

Sparrow men cannot be tamed. AFAIK tiger men are the only animal people that are tameable.

indeed, i'm pretty sure they count similar to goblins, you can't tame hostile goblins in cages.

I just kill them for weapons practice or give them to my pet badger army to eat.


gremlins when caught can be tamed and they cut wood or something slightly useful, not sure if it's wood cutting or something else.

Are you sure they've got a pet value and taming tag in the raw.
EDIT: Never mind was looking at giant sparrow.

Still not sure why the cage wasn't getting hauled though, unless the haulers going to grab the cage keep getting frightened off by other sparrow men in the vicinity, which is possible. In that case, maybe you missed the hauling cancellation message, or don't have your cancellation announcements to a high enough level in the orders screen.
