So could husked humans provide all the normal services like shops and quests to the husked adventurer?

Wait, you can talk to other Husks? That's amazing!

This is a side-effect of dwarven animal training (hit animal with hammer until it forgets that it hates you, then lovingly cuddle it).

I'm not your average Bay12er. I care about my drunken midgets.

Y'know what that made me think of?

Husk civs. Now that would be epic. Spread the plague and rule the world! xD

Should be a mod with that. Someone make it!

I think its better to be a necromancer though, since you seem to regen your injuries as a necromancer but not as a husk.

I can verify that you can get husked. When the Evil Expansion was released, one of my first experiences with the fog was as an adventurer who had stepped into a miasma looking cloud and became invincible!

Got bored and retired that guy, or just suicided him, I think all the civs were insta enemies to me at that point. I believe everyone attacked me on sight and I was unable to use any services and I did not spread the plague, which means I swam through a river or something first, so probably husked a few fish. LOL damn carps...

I... may have to do that at some point.

Correct, most vanilla husks do not require the ability to breathe.

I've played a husk adventurer before. It's pretty boring. Everything I tried to kill just became a husk too and then ignored me. I was going to jump into a volcano and explore the bottom of the magma sea, but I got bored on the way there and just abandoned the adventurer.

Note that husk can become werethings to get regenerative powers.

I once had a husk adventurer. I got lost in the underworld and decided to jump in a magma pool.
....
the result where not pretty at all.

A husk fallen in the magma sea in blinded and paralized (you can try to swim, but is very, very hard), thus literally trapped in an eternal
hell of fire.
