Selectively disabling javascript?
« on: November 08, 2012, 07:37:06 am »

Hey there bay12, I finally decided to make myself a multi for the more personal matters I'll be posting here. Hope you don't mind the escaped lunatic part, I won't spam the upperboards a bit just to remove that~

Anyway, I've got a forum. I run it with a friend, and I only have access to the online control panel. Recently said friend threw a hissy fit and installed a javascript redirect right in the middle of the login so it throws me at a nimp.org site. Tried blocking it, but without JS it doesn't work for whatever reason. Now, I wouldn't care so much if it weren't for the fact there's a bunch of raiders inbound. I also tried to talk him out of it, but I guess he needs some time to cool off before we can tackle that issue.

So, yeah. Disabling a redirect on a heavily javascript dependent website without losing its functionality. How do, wizards?

Well, thanks for your help mate. As the redirect was instant I couldn't firebug it out of existence, however thanks to your redirect I've done some further googling and discovered RequestPolicy, then just disabled requests to his dropbox acc, where he stores the script I presume. Thanks! :3 Locking thread now.
