Seventh Actions

[18] The demon attack motivates the dwarves to fight harder and faster. +1 to all rolls.

[4+1] Nadin wakes up, and hides in the rubble. He does well.

[1+1] Ūben panics and drops the adamantine. Only the presence of the demons stirs him into action enough to turn around and ready his pickaxe.
[2+1] Rigoth curses as the demons approach. He's not moving fast enough to block off any of them with stone, so he grabs a rock and prepares for the worst.
[2+1] Calaro starts building a wall, but he decides it's not worth the effort. He readies his hammer, and prepares for combat.
[6+1] Thanen loads his shiny new crossbow, and takes aim, firing off three shots at one of the demons.
[3+1] Tholtig tries to help, but as the others have given it up as a lost cause, so does she. She grabs the blocks, and prepares for combat.
[6] The yak demon yells and charges towards the dwarves. What luck!It's horns are lowered, and fire is streaming from it's nostrils.
[6+1] The Iron Demon roars, and grabs the Gabbro Demon like a giant, living mace, and charges forward, prepared to deliver an epic beatdown.

[Overkill!] Thanen's shots fly over the heads of the dwarves, streaking towards a yak demon like blazing starlight. Indeed, they are even glowing, blessed by Armok. The Yak Demon rears up, roaring, and three bolts pierce it's flesh. The first strikes it in the shoulder, the second in the leg, and the third in the head. Lightning arcs between the bone bolts, and the Yak Demon falls over, writhing and squirming under the building pressure. Then, light radiates from the bolts, and the Yak Demon is lifted up into the air, screaming. It explodes into a fine mist.
[Overkill!] The Iron Demon lets out a fell, terrible roar, and prepares to leap. It jumps up, the massive demon ripping through the very stones of the cavern as it does, tearing through Gabbro and Chalk like a giant among so much paper. It seems to be charged with an unholy, putrid light as it crashes down among the dwarves, and swings it's Gabbro Demon Mace at [2] Rigoth, crushing him, and sending the dwarf flying through the tunnels. By the time Rigoth lands, there is little to be recognized as a dwarf. Merely a few chunks of bloodied meat, bouncing into the den.

[Counterattack! 6] One of the flying serpent demons tries to bite Calaro, but it misses, burying it's fangs in the stone. Calaro takes advantage of this, and slams Face-Smasher down on the serpent's head, shattering the skull, and tearing the brain.

[6] One of the yak demons rushes forward, and slams it's fist at Ūben's head. The severed part goes flying in an arc.
[12+5] against [15+3]
[Miss!] The yak demon charges at Calaro. It misses, it's fist swinging harmlessly past his upper body.
[6+5] against [10+2]
[Miss!] The yak demon rears back, and spits a glob of fire at Tholtig. She yelps and blocks it with a... Block?
[9+5] against [2+2]
[1] The serpent demon rears back, and spits a cloud of poison gas at Thanen. It clings to his boots.
[12+6] against [14+2]
[2] Calaro slams his hammer down on a Yak Demon's horn. It chips the horn.
[6+1] against [3+2]
[6] Tholtig lobs a stone block at a Yak Demon. It strikes the head, shattering the skull, and tearing the brain.

The battle rages on. Ūben and Rigoth have been slain. Two yak demons and a serpent demon has been slain.

[3] The yak demon lazes around, watching the battle.

[3] The tentacle demon lazes around. It doesn't seem to have interest in any of the dwarves.

[6] Another Iron Demon climbs it's way from the depths, roaring loudly.

Thanking every deity he knew that the tentacle demon wasn't interested in him, Calaro backed down the tunnel. He tries to wall it off, sealing the demons in, yet again.

Background
Yuren was a killer at heart. He knew that. It certainly didn't make him popular, but he didn't care much either. What joys were lost in the way of social interaction were made up for by the rush of battle. Once he heard that a fort had broken into the land below, and unleashed the greatest of all foes, he was instantly attracted.

((Ironic, the dwarf Rigoth was named after, Rigoth was killed by a demon as well. But they were unleashed because my partner in a succession fort just charged headlong into adamantine. This guy is going to be closer to the original Rigoth though, honestly.))

Retreat to an advantageous position, keep shooting at the demons with the artifact crossbow.

Background
Morin always viewed himself as the 'Smart, handsome and strong' ladies man. Although none of this was really true, he did go out of his way to help out female dwarves back in the mountain homes, and even signed up for the military so that he would be able to help other people (And have something to bring up at parties, but that's beside the point). When he wasn't accepted into the dwarven army, he signed up for the next best thing, namely hunting. And when he heard about the opportunity to really prove himself to be the strong, manly dwarf that he believes himself to be, he signed up without a second thought.

Begin walling everything off, far enough back that the demons won't interrupt. Leave it unfinished enough for us to retreat through when the time comes, but complete enough that it can be finished quickly.

Ghost action: Return as a ghost. Explain to the others that they could have just walled in behind me and if they had let me know I would have helped. Continue lecturing them even postmortem. After the demons are victorious/defeated, become a lecturing ghost who informs the rest of the fortress all he knows about mining, masonry, etc.

A new dwarf will be made once the chaos ends...
