I've kept it running all day and nothings been accomplished...

I checked the save to see how things are. I tried various methods of increasing FPS, however none of them worked and some aren't even viable because of the game version.

There is no immediate way to remove the lag. As it is on my PC it ran at ~20 FPS and took 5-10 minutes to pass 4-5 days.

My only explanation is that HFS has been contained with a wall. There is a known bug that seriously decreases FPS if HFS is blocked. Removing the block might help, however I think you can imagine what other issues we currently have or might arise from such an action.


As it is the only options are to either push through the lag or *gulp* call it a Necrothreat.

Our champions sit in a room with three levers

one lever will destroy their current bodies but allow the rest of the fort to survive

one will destroy the rest of the fort while the champions live out the rest of their lives

and the third will destroy everything

If all else fails, I'm going to look towards the DF help thread where the masters reside.

Highmax and I may have found a solution. We will soon try it out. It may involve a bit of cheesing, however I think it's worth it just to make it playable.

You likely meant Apiks (me), not Highmax about the OP. It would seem that you are indeed correct that your save is missing. I have no idea why. It is possible I tried updating it but things went awry. It is now back there where it belongs.
