((Just went through the entire thread and forumiting everyone who requested it or requested a turn. We now have a population of 2 unnamed forumites, dorisdorf to be added when one of our unnamed get a fell mood, and a massive population of 25 named forumites. Also, for everyone who wanted a mason or something else we didn't have, I had to put you as something else and then add the job to the list.))
15th of Sandstone, 125 - Getting to Know ForumitesAfter the speech apiks made, I decided to take it upon myself to get to know the others of the place. It took a long while, but I managed to learn almost everyone by name. I even wrote down their profession and their current jobs.
We have a wonderful community starting to form, and I'm glad I'm starting to get to know the others. If apiks is right, then my time may come soon. We also got our barracks up and running, and thanks to apiks' revealing, I decided to put Highmax as the Commander. If he was a hero in this old world, and a once adventurer in this world, then he must be destined for greatness. Him and Big D are part of a two man group that will consist of our army for now until we can find a sparring partner for Fabulous Death Bringer (Armok that's a mouthful to say).
***LATER...***
Good news. Pisskop, our ranger, was testing out his crossbow but ran out of ammo, which lead a giant rat into our fortress! Luckily, Highmax proved his worth by using a freshly made obsidian shortsword to cleave the beast's head. Score one more to his kill list. Luckily, no one was hurt.
I also discovered our greatest problem: our severe lack of wood. We need wood to make many things here. Beds, obsidian swords (its the best we have right now), charcoal, cages, barrels and bins. We absolutely need these to maximize our potential. Sadly, we're on a huge shortage of wood and because the merchants burned, we couldn't get wood from them. Our only hope right now is to harvest as much as we can in the caverns without jeopardizing our safety.
I feel a deep cold as the snowstorm marks the begining of winter...
