That's the fort, or at least the part we have control of. Nice place eh?

The zombies can't seem to get through locked doors so it shouldn't be too hard to expand. Just need to be careful. First we'll reclaim a nearby farm plot.

Also things are looking kinda strange lately. All the soil, stone, and ores look completely foreign unknown types, random objects get scrambled, and plants all look like the wrong plant to I have to brew by smell.

I like how we were kicked out of our own fortress and now have to reclaim high-value targets as if it's something amazing in the first place built by the ancients. Sounds pretty hellish.

1. That was the part of the fort I retook first during the Great Purge.

Does Dwarf Fortress run better on Macs than it does on Windows? I'm asking because I had no problem with FPS.

I got some bedrooms and that farm plot reclaimed, twas as simple as forbidding some doors and a bit of mining. Next up is the main workshop area; then we should have a sorta functional fortress.

The extra pathfinding from the larger area might be causing the lag. or maybe it's cause I'm using a dying second hand computer running vista.

I got 2fps on an old laptop running windows XP with Doomforests. Cant be that bad.
