Name: Gerald "Jerry" Kennedy
Title: Texas Red
Ethnicity: Swastian
Gender: Male
Background: From a young age, Jerry had a peculiar interest in guns. He's known they've been used in many war stories he's heard as a kid, and on his 10th birthday, his father gave him an old Winchester Model 1873, and was told it's been in their family for many generations. He became fascinated with guns. He studied them, researched them, made crude ones in his free time, and eventually learned the specifications, cartridges, calibers, and what-have-you for almost a hundred guns. He became a weapon specialist, and the leader of Jerry's tribe (?) actually had him suggest what firearm was the best for desert warfare, and to pick the best gun for the soldiers.
Come his 18th birthday, a group of raiders working for the Bandit Lord raided the village. Jerry's father was killed as he pulled a shotgun out. His mother was shot after struggling from the grip of a raider. His 15-year-old brother tried to run to the armory, but was riddled with bullets as he was trying to open the heavy door. Jerry was the only one left in his immediate family. Before any more murder could be committed, he took up arms. He grabbed his Winchester rifle off the rack above the fireplace, a
lot of ammunition, went outside, and opened fire on any bandit in sight. Surprisingly to him, most of his shots wound up being ones to the head, and with a smooth and quick reload, he quickly gained a reputation as a "Skullcrusher" by both the locals and the bandits. He eventually stopped his bloodshed to look for someone else...
Just before the raiders left, they kidnapped his girlfriend. He shouted to her "I promise I'll find you" before the raiders finally disappeared from sight.
A few days after the raid, Jerry took up bandit killing. He spent what remained of his money to buy a set of Wild West-styled desert-traveling clothing. He went to the armory and picked out a few guns he liked. One of them is a .44-magnum revolver that he took to put a "big iron on his hip" from a song he loved as a kid. He has a number-1-priority to kill the Bandit Lord with his .44 to end it all.
Appearance: He wears blue jeans, leather boots, a scarred leather vest that once belonged to his father, a white, long-sleeved, button-down shirt, and an old fedora, both to keep the sun(s) off his eyes, and to complete his look. Over it all, he wears a light cloak as tan as the desert sands. He often takes a mustang horse as his mount of choice to get around from place to place.
He is now 24 years old, and has killed countless other bandits, and took up a habit of cutting out one notch on his guns for each bandit slain with that gun.
"He was vicious and a killer, though a youth of twenty-four, and the notches on his pistol numbered one and nineteen more."
Primary: (multiple; only uses one) From the armory, he picked an M14 battle rifle with a sand-tan wooden stock. On the right side of the stock he (crudely) painted a skull and two crossed revolvers behind it. On the side of the forearm, he engraved with his knife "Desert Vengeance". He only uses the rifle in its semiautomatic fire, because--with his deadly-accurate aim--he only needs one shot. There are 17 notches on the Vengeance.
Jerry has kept his old Winchester rifle over these past years. He says it's all that reminds him of his father, to whom he was very close. He always carried it in a rifle holster on the right side of his horse's saddle, but he has never once used it since the bandit raid. Jerry's plans are, when he gets to the Bandit Lord's fortress, to pull out the Winchester and he hopes those bandits remember who he is. He's killed more raiders with it than he can remember.
Secondary: (multiple)
Jerry mainly uses a pair of .45-caliber Colt M1911A1 semiautomatic handguns with standard 7-round magazines. On the left side of their slides, he engraved "Mustang" on one and "Sally" on the other. Mustang has 9 notches, and Sally has 8.
To deal with big-time outlaws in other towns, he used a six-shot single-action .44-magnum Ruger Blackhawk. The left side of the barrel has 20 notches scratched into it. The right side has "Big Iron" engraved. After the 20th kill with this gun, he swore not to use it ever again until confronting the Bandit Lord.
For up-close-and-personal hand-to-hand combat, Jerry's weapon of choice is a relatively large-bladed Bowie knife for hacking through his enemies. He had a craftsman engrave "Cold Steel of Revenge" on the wooden grip. He has slit the throats of 13 men with the Revenge.
