Theodore pulled his cloth and turban over his head to once more look like a bedouin, as always. The only thing that set him apart from most was the fact he - as he was doing - left two protrusions of cloth on his head sometimes, making them look like simple cat ears.

Aside from that, he always tried to cultivate a certain image; a harmless cat was his idea, for more than one reason. So far, it had helped him stay out of trouble and spark some sympathy from people sick after hearing so many titles revolving about one's shooting or sexual prowess - not always true, of course.

He pulled the cloth over his nose as well but smiled and waved, nodding to complement his greeting afterwards. "Hello there, who do I have the pleasure to talk to?"

Talk to the man.

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

Makos cursed the men chating below him. This was a business meeting, not some causul get-together over tea and biscuits! At least, he hoped it wasn't. He'd given far too much to hang here and listen to the two old fools below him prattle endlessly over dinner. He grit his teeth as the blood began to flow to his head. This was going to be a long night...

Continue listening.

Tapras bowed his head at the others' praise, smiling a modest smile even as he thought of those lying at the bottom of the canyon.
'That coward... They were killed before they knew what was happening. A sad way to go... I hope I don't die like that.'
Later, as they ate and rested, the young man thought as he chewed; not of claiming proof of his kill, but of securing a decent burial for their dead companions. He cast an inexperienced eye over his food and supplies.
"Perhaps we should think of getting the ones who died, giving them a proper burial?"

>Check food & water and estimate how long it would take to travel back to where our companions fell.

>If it seems do-able, suggest retrieving their bodies for burial. Otherwise just keep quiet and follow the group.

A slight woman in a green cloak moves into view of Makos, walking out of the store. She seems to have bought a goodly amount of guitar strings...

"Thank you, Sirs. This Lady will sing your praises, wherever her travels take her." She says in a musical voice.

She casts one mischievous look directly at Makos through his hiding place, winking. The pair of men doesn't notice it was so subtle.

"Good luck to thee, in all your endeavors." She says to those souls, both above and below.

Then she's gone, the desert wind blowing through the door.

TCM - Madeline
One of your hands pulls you up onto the side of the tanker while the other darts for the pistol at your waist. You both bring your guns to bear at once and pull the respective triggers. Neither weapon fires however, and you stare quizzically at your gun whilst the hapless guard desperately struggles to unjam his own weapon. Meanwhile the driver walks by and notices the strange woman clinging to his truck. He cluelessly asks you if you're lost or something, oblivious to the details of the strange situation he has stumbled upon.

Caellath - Theodore
Kill me. He draws one of his blades and takes a stance unlike you've never seen before. He glares at you insistently and waits. He doesn't look like one to be reasoned with. The two men he was talking with earlier approach him with concerned expressions but keep their distance. They take turns glancing at you fearfully and watching the swordsman warily.

OREOSOME - Anna
You pull yourself to your feet as they disappear over the horizon and slide quietly down the dune before breaking into a steady jog. The cold night air presses against you and pushes you forward, and you manage to reach them within the hour, as you expected. You're now shadowing them from about twenty meters off as they walk steadily onward, laughing occasionally and conversing idly about their jobs and families back home. Nothing about that War Machine they were talking about earlier though, which seems a bit odd to you. You shake the feeling off and follow closely, watching as they crest another low dune and momentarily drop out of sight. You suddenly notice that you can no longer hear their voices, and you rush to the top of the dune to catch up to them, thinking they must be running. You reach the top and stop dead in your tracks as you spot the four men that are waiting for you just beyond it with pistols drawn. Damn. They approach you slowly, with two of their number fanning out on either side to surround you while the remaining pair continue to close in. You stand frozen in place, and frigid bead of sweat runs down your face. You've only got a few moments before the flankers pass beyond your peripheral vision and prevent you from keeping track of them. Its now or never.

mesor - Jamos
The man runs at you, his knife blade gleaming threateningly in the sunlight as you let your crossbow fall to the ground, then slap the catch for the mini-bow attached to your left arm and point it at the charging criminal. By the time you realise your fancy crossbow never unfolded from its secret compartment in your oversized vambrace the man is already on top of you. You lift your boot and plant it into his stomach before he can get within range, then snag each of his wrists and toss him over your head. You send him screaming over the side of a cliff that you didn't notice before, and by the time you get to your feet and peek tentatively over the edge he's already vanished into the abyss. A sour look crosses your face as you realise you've just lost the bounty, and you bend over to scoop up your assault crossbow and the bolt your fired. You spot the stranger's knife lying in the sand where he dropped it before hurtling to his untimely death, and take it along with his 9mm Jericho handgun (2/9) as a consolation prize.

Firelordsky - Hirt
The bandit blinks in surprise and you crack the butt of your rifle across the side of his head. He drops his gun and stumbles backward, landing hard and holding his bleeding head whilst writhing in the sand. I can't see! I can't fuckin' bloody see!! You scrabble amongst the dust and get to your feet, gasping for air. Several shots zip past your head and you turn to see that the driver is kneeling in the sand in a pool of vomit and holding his sidearm up with one shaky hand. One of the other three bandits turns around and cries out in alarm, startling the other two as they clumsily pull their pants back up.

Next time tell me where you want to hit him. I could've had so much fun with that action. "Hit him with the butt of my rifle." Hmm.. Lets break his toes and then watch him pull a knife and stab Firelordsky to death. Yeah that sounds good. Too bad he didn't post something a bit more specific. It could've saved his life! Oh well! :P *whistles*

CrimsonEon - Yureig
The man lets out a loud laugh that shakes the walls of the rather rickety establishment.
Hah! You're funny, you know that? Here.
He sits down at the booth and you slide into the seat opposite him. He waves at the bartender, who sends a few glasses filled with lager, along with a large pitcher of water. You both relax and talk for a while, laughing and chugging thirstily at your drinks. Only once you've finished your beers and moved on to pouring yourselves water do the two of you calm a bit more and start getting to business. The man says, a bit too loudly.
Have you ever heard of the Crimson Walker?
You and the patrons closest to your booth instantly grow pale. A few men stand up and quietly leave the bar, their drinks unfinished. The Swastian is still looking at you expectantly, and you nod slowly and take a gulp of water after noticing that your throat had gone dry. The bar is still utterly silent by the time he speaks again.
Thats interesting. Goodness its late! I guess I'll be seeing you around then?
He sets his drink down and steps out of the booth before setting a small purse of watis on the table and leaving through the open door. The chatter slowly returns to the barroom, but its noticeably more subdued than before. You stare at the crystal clear water in your glass unwillingly, and the grimy waiter walks over to you and collects the glasses and payment. A crumpled ball of paper falls out of the front pocket of his too-small waistcoat as he leans over you and rolls into your lap. He walks away before you can get his attention however, and you shrug and open the grimy slip of parchment carefully instead. Meet me at the gates at dawn if you're interested. You crush the paper in your hand and drop it into the fireplace on your way out of the bar. You look up at the starry night sky thoughtfully, and then down the brightly lit streets of the city of Voliton and wonder what to do until then.

Jatha - Makos
The man gets up and rushes out the door after the green clad woman. Hey!! Hey you can't be here! The old man sighs and chuckles wistfully at the young man's energy. Its probably his protege or something. The old man stands abruptly and begins to leave. You panic and search for a way down, and you spot a spread of cargo netting on display nailed to the wall just above the door the old man is heading to. You need to stop him. No matter what, you have to get the location of the armoury. He's already halfway there..

Yoink - Tapras
You plop to the ground and check your pack for the third time that day while listening to the others talk. Plenty of food and water for the whole journey, and some of the others have even more. You think about how deep that canyon was, and dismiss any thoughts of recovering the dead. Left to rot for eternity.. You stare at the loaf of bread in your hand, then tear a chunk of it away and stuff it in your mouth angrily. A small band of Jovan foot merchants stumble across your camp and the men on watch happily greet them before asking them to stop and rest and display their wares. They accept just as amicably and the others exchange trinkets and news with the less experienced traders while the senior tradesmen begin unfurling huge rugs and arranging a vast array of tools and goods across them. By the time you finish eating the merchants have finished setting up, and the others are curiously inspecting the varied wares.

Attempt Diplomacy. If it fails, pull out the pistols, firing on the flankers first, then the ones in front.

Yurieg grunted at the dotted slate sky, the mere words 'Crimson Walker' had drained all the adrenaline and fervor from him in mere seconds. Yet what did it mean? Yureig fumbled the words in his head, the lager having clouded his memory ever slightly.

He would spend minutes attempting to Recall what he knows of the 'Crimson Walker', but would make little difference to his decision. He was tired of all the wandering and fleeting work, across the vast seas of the deserts, and tired of the unsung victories he's had against the Bandit Lord's supply chains. Come dawn, he would want a challenge.

Kick the vomiting man in the upper left chest area and the crotch to make sure he doesn't get up, then shoot the blinded guy twice in both knees, then drag the vomiting guy's body to a area that is covered from the three other bandits' lines of fire and search him for the keys. If he has them, fire a few rounds into the dunes and get into the vehicle and start the engine and drive off. If he doesn't, go into the vehicle anyways, check if the engine is running and if there are keys.
