Most DF-players don't really take the insanity inside the game out of it. Sure, we had some crazy-ass succesion forts, but nothing more then that.

I'm not sure I take seriously an article where, near the top, a MUD client is given the same blame for grinding a machine to a halt as a Youtube 'tab'.  (And dual-booting?  Is that even relevant?  I doubt he's using resources to run either boot as a virtual machine in the other?)


Other than that, I'm not even sure I understood the point of the article, but perhaps I just didn't grasp the gist right from the start and so the latter meaningfulness just passed me by.



(Oh yeah, and I might as well plug discworld.atuin.net 4242 (or whatever port it uses, these days...  I remember when it was on cix.compulink.co.uk, but might still be a bit out of date!).  Anyway, ask Granny about bees, if you go there.)
