I have shit loads of useless Farmers, Wax-workers, Fisherman, (you get the idea!) and who doe's the Vampire go for every time? My legendary FUCKING miners or carpenters!!

You could figure out a way to turn all of your master legends into vampires, and have them feast on the haulers

A vampire in my last fort was able to eat two people in the middle of my dormitory without anyone seeing it. 100's of dwarfs in all directions.  He must have been like, "Look over there!  A sock on the ground!"

No, how you got to do this is find some 7/7 water, with no exit ramps, and then use a retracting bridge to drop dwarves in, one by one. Once you get a dwarf that doesn't drown, they're a vampire, so throw them into magma/use them to make an unsleeping army of undead soldiers/use them as bookkeepers.

If they drown then they were innocent I presume? Or would that make them a witch... Unless... Ah yes, clearly if they don't drown they are either a vampire or they floated, and therefore are made of wood, which by extension makes them a witch and they should then be burned with magma.

It's more efficient to drop half of the current  population in at a time.  Your search will take O(log n) instead of O(n).  At most 8 tries in a fort of 200, with slightly increased casualties of course.
