I wish I had larger blocks of time to myself to both play a season AND write the post. Right now it often splits up, which means I forget somethign that happened. Darn.

Early Spring 134
I really do like that slab we created. The memorial is one I definitely approve of.
Zol asked me to move her husband to her workshop recently for protection. I don't understand the motivation myself, but I suppose it doesn't matter. Well, looking at my records (thank you Amariithynar), I see that he is in Sword Group 1, along with the husband of our carpenter. It also so happens that we have a legendary weapon rack made of granite known as Samamuthir (interpreted as "Courageseared". We moved it outside of her kitchen. Strangely the carpenters workshop is right next to it, so I'll double my efficiency at spousal protection.
A while ago I asked Flamestrider to make a dozen or so granite statues. He finished them pretty quickly, so they're now placed around the fort. i've asked the peasants to place them at good places around the fort.
Other than that we're trying to push forward the adamantine production. Ralgreth is doing well at pulling the strands, and MrsWillsauce is practically glowing.
Now, the big job I'm on - smoothing out our central staircase. It's been bothering me whenever I go down to the bottom of the stairs. It should keep me busy for at least a little while.

My water buffalo Vucar gave birth again. A young cow this time. She must have been pregnant for a long time, because we killed the bull A long time ago. Come to think of it, it was back at [indecipherable]. I'm petitioning Malimbar to let me keep this one, at the last living legacy of Vucar in all likelihood.
Oh, I've been busy recently mostly building the paved road. It takes a really logn time, and I keep having to substitute weird materials, so I won't be surprised if it falls apart at some point. But for now - it'll do just fine. Assuming my math is correct of course.

*The Willsauce Family*
(written by MrsWillsauce)
Wooo! party at the well! Between this, the adamantine wafers (baked at an adamantine smelter) being forged into adamantine short swords at an adamantine magma forge... what was I saying? Basically life is good. And parties are well deserved.

I recently finished a bunch of granite statues, and we're currently int he process of deciding where they go. We've placed them around places where the subject is relevant:
- the statues celebrating the founding of our fort - those are being placed out front on top of granite block flooring.
- The statue of Ralgreth Smith making a masterful pigtail fiber cloth - outside the weavers.
- The statue of Amariithynar being appointed to the position of militia commander in 127 - outisde her office.
- The statue of me being taken taken from the position of expidition leader in early 126 - outside my workshop. this one shows me looking a bit confused. Oh well, their loss.
- The statue of Ilral Climaxspears naming a large shield "Woodenwound" in 132 - outside the carpenters workshop. As a bonus, he is training right outide the workshop now - protecting his wife the cook.
- The statue of PrivateAlpha becoming the mayor - outside of her room on her mayor-floor.
- A second statue of me being rejected for expidition leader is in my room. This one shows my more private feelings I think - I was felt flat out dejected. Sigh.
We still have a bunch of other statues:
- I have 3 or Rura Tineflax. It relates to when the human journeyed to the hills of hardiness in 119. it was his fifth journey.
- I have 1 of Deduke Pageboard, when he made the weapon rack Courageseared in 132. I have no idea where to put this, as it's not going in my shop.
- I have 1 of Kirar Worthlove, the deity of charity as a female dwarf. It's my least favorite one, as it doesn't capture her labor properly. No idea where to put this one either.

Party time! I'm still waiting on them making my little hut above ground to hermit myself in. But in the meantime, we at least have some meed-making work to do.

All my talents going to waste I think. Yes, I'm the best adamantine strand extractor in the fort, but come on. After a while it gets boring, and where is my creative outlet there? I've taken several breaks as a result. Most recently it's just party time though.

I was just talking to the wife recently about the road being made up top. It's really top quality.

I feel much better now that Ilral is standing outside my fort. I was worried about the baby after the whole incident with the magma crab. You have to be careful around here!

Edem 'Galen' Torchwet
Lots of mining is still to be done. I've completed 8 floors worth, and I've done partial floors for 6 more. I've taken a break for a little bit though - pasturing animals and such. Those animals aren't going to pasture themselves!

Rimtar 'Privatealpha' Whippedtrailed
I've forbidden the export of any earrings. no, I'm not stockpiling them, but there will be no earrings leaving this fort. Those wax earrings are ours!
On that note, we really do need to work on the clothing situation. yes we have plenty of good quality trousers and robes, and cloaks for that amtter. But what about our caps? our hoods? our gloves? our mittens? it's a catastrophe.
and speaking of catostrophe, why hasn't the craftsdwarf been punished yet? These peopel are going to have a lot to answer to. Just 'cus I'm the only dwarf in the fort with a cabinet, they think they can ignore all my demands? I'm mayor.
And on that note, I've been asked twice now about recommending a baron. I haven't given it much thought honestly. I'm only friends with two dwarves, and I don't really expect much from either of them. Malimbar isn't satisfying my demands - he's out. Amarrythinar isn't much of a dissappointment though, and she has free time. Flamestrider doesn't seem to have any. Sloth has it, but I don't know - his nickname suggests he'd be pretty bad.
I'll have to look at the psychology reports of each of them to determine who to pick.
The child of the head chef, Nomal Snakeoils, shows promise, but he is only 5 right now. While Sloth apparnetly love gloves, his report says he prefers them made of turqoise kangaroo leather, or possibly reindeer while he consumes ocelot. I think not.
Most of Amariithynar's likes though we already have or can get easily enough. She'll be my recommendation when the next caravan from the mountainhomes comes.

Asmel 'Doktor' Armorwalk
I've been walking around just enjoying the fort recently. I spent a fair amount of time at the slab for my wife, then I walked around outside, drank some alcohol, admired the new sections of the road, and then took a nap. Of course, I'm spending most of the time I have around my wife. It's a bona fide memorial room after all, so it's not weird.

They still haven't honored my request of a fungiwood bed in a wall. it's not right I say. My room is just good fricken extravagant! And that's not good.
You know what else isn't good though? everyone is keeping all these clothes all over the place. Trash clothes - worn out to be nigh unwearable. I need to get permission to throw those away.
