Hey! I keep playing a season and then getting too tired or busy at the end to post my next reply. Uthric, note I did figure out the brew mead btw in the last post
. It just... took me a while before I realized it. Now the problem is a lack of jugs (they keep on using them for royal jelly), but I may have found a solution for the next update. We'll see.
and TheZoomZoll, there are TONS of free dwarves. You want Zas Basementperplexed? naming her Zol? You got her. She is now our head cook. She is also married to a sworddwarf Ilral Lirlokum, and has one 2 sons (the youngest is at the fort). Congrats!
Now, for the update. (Zol will bein the next one)

Both Flamestrider and I are busy smoothing out migrant rooms right now. it's coming along nicely, with most of the ones occupied now being pretty smooth. I also worked on some of the new lcothing for a while, but most of my time this last season was spent encrusting things with more gems. I jsut cut a superior quality large gem made of glass the other day. I'm very proud of it.

Ber 'Amariithynar' Mightshot
Since I'm not allowed to train at the armor stand anymore, I'm again a little bored. I've gone back to updating the records, though I did sneak in a few shots at the archery range when no one was looking. I had to stop that though when a snowstorm hit. And while I'm happy with my sleeping arrangements, it only brings me so much joy really.
You know what I need? something to design. Maybe I should work on pillars or something. Get some engineering practice in, ya know?

I got a compliment on my silver maces I've been making recently. Hey, I'm glad someone likes this work. i'm getting better all the time. MrWillsauce says I'm an expert now. I'm not sure about that, but the quality is definitely improving.
He also really likes my furnace apparently. I saw him admiring it for a good hour. I thought he was admiring me at first, but it was obvious where he was staring after the first few minutes. I love that dwarf, but come on, really?

I had a break recently and just lied around. It was amazing to just enjoy the fantastic everything. The bed, the door, the bedroom, the dining room... all thsi hard work pays off I say. Glad we've been working on this. Anyways, as always, we're busy. I'm currently helping smooth out the migrant rooms, which is getting close to done (at least for the useable rooms). Plenty of work to continue afterwards though.

Morul 'Uthric' Helmpractice
Now that I figured out the mead recipe, I started hunting down the rest of our honeycomb. It was stored in bins! bins! I made the others remove them from the bins and put them in a stockpile. And then you know what I find out? the jugs! the jugs are all full! No wonder I can't get anything done. They're full of honey bee royal jelly, which I have no idea how to dump out. I've asked the farmer to cook it all, but they keep saying they can't. I'll keep pressing them though, and I think I'll move the jugs really close to the kitchens just in case.
Then I asked the craftsdwarf to make a few more out of stone. He said we're short on stone, but suggested glass jugs. I didn't realize we could make those. I've asked for a ton of them, as many as we could get. He said he'd talk around and get it figured out.

So the Bee Hermit came to me recently. He said "head craftdwarf (heh), I need a bunch more rock jugs". I told him that we didn't have stone, but I could see about making glass jugs. apparently he never heard of such a thing. It's funny what some people don't know. I'll talk to the head glassmaker at some point.
As for myself, we did have a lot of bones to carve. Now we have a great deal of ammunition, just in case Amariithynar ever wants to go practice sometime. I kepe forgetting shes' the only marksdwarf. Heh.

It's true, I have been depressed about being forgotten in this little self-made squad, but darn it I'm going to do it right if I'm going to do it. Wind, rain, snow... we're still going to spar like it's the year 5 and we're facing the hoards of humans of times past. Or whatever, I'm not really familiar with our history honestly.
OK, to be honest the bedroom like a personal palace still helps. But the sparring sessions are also nice.
