After the somewhat disappointing Amnesia run - which is a great, atmospheric game, but just doesn't work on moi - i've decided to delve deeper, into the bowels of gaming, and try something.. completely different. I've re-discovered a game, that will reward you with the most memorable villains and most overwhelming atmosphere one could face.
The game that hates modern windows system, but after some work, constant bluescreens finally ceased, to make way for something.. darker still.

"How could anyone miss out on System Shock 2?" You may ask, while desperately looking for a silly poll, in which your vote wouldn't have mattered. It's quite simple, really. The game is old and ugly, but at the same time tense, scary and heavy. I never had a chance to play it, and even as i started, i was worried.
"How is this a bloody horror ga--" Monsters, survival, atmosph---
"But you can fight the monsters! It's a shooter!" Not on Impossible, it's not. Enemies never cease to spawn, and each, and every one of them can easily murder you. Some you just cannot deal with, without sacrificing resources that you don't have, on a battle that you don't want.
Dark, claustrophobic corridors with sharp turns, sealed by noise-dampening doorways, make it easy to run into a situation that you just cannot handle. Not to mention the ever-present AI Xerxes with its robots and turrets, hordes of infected, and something much, much worse lurking behind all of this. A hive mind. A proper, actual hive mind that makes all foes see, what one does.
But all of this, would be for nothing, if not for the amazing, award-worthy audio recordings, logs, speeches and noises.

Hence, the Impossible, Blind run of System Shock 2 begins.

Part 05 - Bloody Robots
Part 06 - The forgotten sixth part
Part 07 - Circuit Board d82mViOa/wtdEx
Part 08 - We're alive!.. well, not really
Part 09 - Hydrophonics welcome us...
Part 10 - The game is going soft on us
Part 11 - Toxins, Ahoy! (low mic..)
Part 12 - The Polito form is dead, insect! (low mic...)

I only shall ask Thee to not post any spoilers, in any shape or form. Unless they are unrelated to System Shock 2, like : Snape kills Dumbledore, Rosebud is the sled, Sharon Stone is the icepick killer, Trinity dies in the third movie, Bruce Willis was the ghost the entire time and there are two killers in Scream. Those spoilers are fine. System Shock spoilers, are not!

Lastly, i hope that the intro is to your liking.

Oh, it'll be a horror game when you get to the...I've said too much already.

All I will say is make sure you have good audio, it's well worth it.

I hope the cutscenes work for you, when ever I tried to play the game almost instantly crashed on me, kinda like Daikatana.

Yeah that is one thing about horror. A lot of the time it requires someone to be sucked in, in order to work.

I can fully imagine someone not being scared of Amnesia (I never played it... mostly because I learned from Fatal Frame that horror games are a waste of money with me... since I am always too afraid to beat them)

The best i can do is to discard a med-hypo every time i die in an area, that i don't have a bio-reconstructor in.

With this being said, Part 02 is up. Glory to The Man-- oh, they haven't revealed themselves in part 02, no.

I hope the cutscenes work for you, when ever I tried to play the game almost instantly crashed on me, kinda like Daikatana.

It's rather easy to get these to work, all you need is endless supplies of cash and a team of devoted programmers.

This is pretty cool to watch, I never actually got all that far into the game when I played it, and I'm curious to see what happens later on.

Turning bio-constructors on, tisk tisk. A real Impossible challenge would be to never touch them.

Actually, why do you even have weapons at all?

As it turns out, Dishonored is a rather easy game. For anyone interested just how easy, here's a short video special of things you aren't even supposed to try.

For those who are not, this means that i'll be abandoning the full-murder run of Dishonored, having more time for SS! (what a lovely shortcut)

I have finally started uploading these damn things again, and i keep getting reassured that this is THE horror game. Tense, unfair, alien, unclear... The many offer me answers, but my individuality is too precious to me.
