Hey, I'm new to the forums, (actually I've spent some time reading a few posts the past couple of days.) and I have a request for an abomination.
Basically, it's a golden crown that sneaks into a fortress and hide itself in a stockpile (any kind of stockpile, even if it forbids crowns, which is a heads-up that something is wrong.) After some poor dwarf wears it, the dwarf will go into a strange mood and create more crowns which, in turn, possess the rest of the dwarves. If the dwarf attempts to remove the crown will result in making the wearer's intestines implode. If nobles wear it, they will mandate that only crowns can be traded and everything else will be forbidden to be created. After enough dwarves wear the crowns (about half of the population), they will gather and kill themselves and their parts reanimate. These parts attack everything other than possessed dwarves.
I don't know if you can actually do this but if you can than many thanks mate! By the way, the rest of the abominations are awesome! :D

Indeed. Amusingly, one could make a Ice King-esqu megabeast which requires a non-organic body part to use any of it's abilities.

....

Actualy, I would like to add that to the request list. One blue-skinned flying ice-themed megabeast, please!

Okay, I wonder if something exists already:
I would like to have a gun that shoots with the teeth of my enemies! (For adventure mode, of course)
And it should shoot fast, not like the slow motion crossbow/bow!

Nope. Projectile weapons only shoot ammo and all of them are limited by their "one shot on-screen per unit" issue.

So, humanoid-sized anthropomorphic hourglasses. Give them a curse interaction that they can use in combat to temporarily slow enemies. Perhaps make them move faster to balance out their fragile tissues.

I would like to make a special request, near and dear to my heart: A Bee Colossus.

The stength of it's body is, of course, up to you- it would end up being a custom material. I would advise some kind of stone, or maybe a giant made of insect chitin.

It would be able to breath a cloud of "bees" which is to say, a contact venom that causes swelling and pain at the point of contaimination. Meanwhile, it's attacks should be able to inject the target with a different version of "bees" which causes -systemic- Swelling and pain. This should probably kill you. It's blood, should of course, be contact "bees".


Bonus points if it constantly generates a layer of "bees" on it's skin (the contact variety) to afllict those it wrestles.

Okay. No fast shooting then but there is a reaction in "Wanderer's Friend" that lets you carve arrow and spear heads out of teeth. Maybe one could create a new [AMMO_ITEM] called "tooth bullets" or something that would be created with a similar reaction?
Then for forging/carving the gun one could use wood or a metal bar and then it would magically shoot teeth!

Yeah, just have it emit a toxic gas that affects on contact.
Shouldn't actually be that hard, and you could probably just make the inside be filled with bee gas like the iron men.

Okay, realized I hadn't worked on this in a while, and was suprised by the amount of requests I've recieved, which pleases me greatly. I am also pleased by having such requests as tanks and the ice king. Sadly, as others said, the crown thing is rather impossible. Anyone know how to make fired materials explode on contact? (and then I realized how much !!FUN!! would be had by adding missiles to dwarf fortress) As well, for...abnormally sized things, an object as a point of reference is useful, on a side note, as are specifics with syndromes, how quick is reasonable, and how potent is sufficient? (I'm still rather new with syndrome implementation, but I at least have SOME experience with it now, so that makes it a bit easier). I will try to get on with filling more requests soon (I keep forgetting, is part of the issues I'm having).

There have been some really awesome ideas here. I got an idea that shouldn't be too terribly hard. I'd try it myself but I don't hardly know anything about modding yet. If it sounds interesting, go for it!

They're called radioactive ghouls. Humanoids similar to humans in size and body, but with wrinkled skin and sharp hands (for slashing attacks). Maybe they could be non-living, or at least hostile to everything but themselves. These creatures emit a radioactive dust. Similar to a real life high dose of radiation, exposure to the dust causes immediate but short term nausea (and some sort of mental confusion, if something like that is possible) for about half an hour. Then, symptoms vanish. After a few days, though, the damage finally shows itself with necrosis, nausea, fever and fatal internal hemorrhaging. They should be stronger and slightly faster than your typical dwarf.
