Yeah that pretty much happens only in these threads. In fact, the only people being snobby elitists are trolling people who are pretending to be tileset users to troll them.
Bottom line is, always burn the OP for being a heretic.

And then the thread died.

The end.

And then the thread died.

The end.

Now that you mention it, isn't it funny? When this thread started, that thread became dead. We always derail topics to...

UNLEASH OUR RAGE even if it's a simble topic of personal taste.

I'm going to lead people to this thread if someone starts a discussion about tilesets VS ASCII in any thread from now on. I SHALL NOT ALLOW THREADS TO BE DERAILED.

I will personally tolerate each and every person you direct to this thread with a vengeance and respectfully decline their moronic ideas with a vengeance. These threads are not meant to live. People occasionally take them seriously.

Personally, I have no idea why this debate exists in the Bay12 forums. It sounds like a bunch of people are debating about red apples vs green apples to me. Everybody should think about this before arguing about tilesets vs ASCII.

I don't know. I personally prefer the flavor and texture of the red apple, but green is large and juicy, if slightly acidic, which manages to entice.

No vote.

I learned necromancy just so I could create this thread. The thread with no logic, reason, or direction. The thread with invisible elitists attacking noble tileset users. The thread that will end sanity for good. The thread with no life.

It is time for a last stand.

I am always arguing with myself over whether to use ironhand or an ascii set, so really, I wish other people would genuinely argue about it more, so that I could read their points and take them into consideration

This trolling is really not as productive, from an observer's point of view, as legitimate conflict :(
