So, giant bear thing that is gonna eat us all.

I dont think a 50cal is gonna help much there...

Will certainly take a few dozen rounds. (The machine guns don't have any smart aim, so are unlikely to hit anything critical in the first few shots)

These creatures will be mostly passive, the key will be to stay right out of their way!

It is only about 3m tall.

50 caliber packs a huge punch!

Unfortunately, due to budget constraints and resource scarcity, all weapons use .22 rounds.

The colonists only have l1a1 rifles that fire 7.62. Those won't have the stopping power to quickly take one down.

However if you've played the game, you'll know there is a research perk for special hollowpoint rounds. ;)

Are you digging out lots of minerals? They are now required to build stuff at the workbench and get used up quickly.

yup i have dug out loads of materials built several work benches and all they do is go between the minerals and workbench and then don't construct anything. They just refuse to build anything full stop, apart from the stuff outside of the base then they spend all their time hanging outside of the base.

Reminds me I havn't updated the members area builds in moonths. Better do that tomorrow.

Odd. The build now is the same as the one I had at Rezzed and it seemed to work fine for the whole weekend. Sounds like your guys are building stuff at the workbenches... but failing to path to the objects they want to build. If you mouse over the workbench it will say "previous project" and tell you what they actually built(to see if they succeeded).

Lots of reasons why that can happen. Obvious one is to make sure you haven't locked the doors and that the paths are clear. (Colonists can no longer walk behind the wall segments or glitch through walls for shorter paths). There are more complex ones like AI needs bugging out, but that's not something that will happen with a fresh game.

Post a screen if you can. Also use the numpad +- to modify time, to see if they will _ever_ build the stuff or if they are just being very slow.

yeah the workbenches come up with previous thing built, and i have waited in real time my colonists die before they ever build anything :( and i have tried building a single bed in the middle of the room as well and still nothing is built. I will get you a screenshot.

And I still have the same issue. A missing SMVCP120.dll, whatever that is.

That's some Visual C++ redistributable you are missing, I think. Try to go into the Maia folder and see if there's a redist folder - if there is, install everything in there. Otherwise, simoroth probably will tell you which specific one is needed.
