Very interesting. However, I still can't get anything done without everyone going sick, depressed, or overall refusing to work after ~10min.
I also noticed that giving a ton of build orders on the beggining, especially before building Worktables, is still a sure-fire way to get a lot of people dead.

Even though it's all neat details, I think it'd be a nice idea to lower Disasters and Sickness chances. In around than 5-10 minutes everyone was sick and I got a combo of Earthquakes, Solar Flares (not sure the event name) and Meteors.
The game also starts with all rooms with low temps, which will kill people if they don't die otherwise.  ::)

I noticed that I had much better performance and only one crash (when clicking on the "Next Robot" button on the lower-left), so that's much better.

It honestly feels like a lot of their problems came from the fact that their entire team was composed of cats, and the people who were supposed to be herding them were also cats.

There must be something wrong with the event triggers. There are constant earthquakes, meteor strikes, solar flares and so forth. They happen like every five minutes. Otherwise looking good!

I'll go back and give them a little look. We're getting to the point where stuff like that needs to be balanced. I'll also be making those events more... eventful. So having them happen every few minutes might be a pain!

I started playing this game again. I havent played since the first release pass. I think the attempt to make the UI part of the environment is neat, but since they need to be manually placed and then done by a colonist... it just, I dun know, they're the last things I feel like I need to do and they always get dumped to the bottom of the list of stuff to do. They also compete for space with other seemingly more important wall stuff.

I have no idea what my colonist are doing at any giving point. The emails may work. But mostly, what I feel I need, to at least know what the colonist are doing at any arbitrary moment, so I can at least understand what my colony is doing. I also wish, I knew which colonist were making which emails. Though I dont know if thats actually important.

I wish I knew how much power my colony needs in a given day, so I can attempt to build enough fly wheels to supply my base.

What do you do about water? And whats the point of the generic building? Why would you ever build that over just more storage?

EDIT:
I also 'perently still dont know how hydroponics works. I put down four trees, as to my understanding one tree gives enough food for one person. I see colonist attend the plants. When I placed the plants down, they were green. But everyone just starved.

Its a very solid foundation that will one day be good, but right now is in an in-between state where it is fun and also very frustrating

They're starving but refusing to build the food prep station. There lots of building materials. There free workbenches. Though maybe, the building materiel on the walls in storage, arent real.  "Lets go run outside for a bit, cause, fuck eating."

Yeah, I'm having people die from starvation, refuse build stuff and die of thrist despite there being barrels of water in storage. I'm not sure if these are bugs or if there are some issues because the game doesn't communicate to me why someone isn't eating or drinking etc.

I'm sure these issues will be resolved eventually but for now, I'm in the waiting mood for next versions. The base of the game looks really promising, tho.

What makes it frustrating, is that I have no idea what those colonists are doing. In this current game. They refuse to make the food prep station. I had it placed first, and for a long while, it being the only thing I wanted built. So then for lolz I put down four beds. They made the beds. I put down the table, and 2 couches, they're made.

Still wont fucking make the ration box or the food prep station.

The only emails, I have been getting were telling me they wanted beds.
EDIT:
I went back to an ealier save, and moved where i placed the food prep station. I had it against the wall, in a silly notion, to maximum space. I plopped in an off center space. And they built it. I dont have any understanding as to why. Is the green thing bugged out?

Do you have a drill? I dont think the beds, tables, and the like use one, but I have no idea if the food station needs one, which could be the issue.

Right now. I have two microwave smelters, a 3d printer, 3 work benches, and one drill. Oh, and two maintenance robots.

Edit: So they wont make ration packs. I have no idea why. Do I need a certain amount of food first? Right now I'm around 21k food. They also arernt using the beds, or table or couches, and still sending me messages that their sad.

EDIT 2: Well, uninstalling the game. There are 21 dead folks in my colony, and I cant summon anymore into this meat grinder. They wont make rations, they wont use the food prep. Even though I have barrels upon barrel of water, they still die of dehydration. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. You cant herd the colonist to do anything. Even the new colonist, which wouldnt be hungry, or sad or thirsty, dont do fucking anything either. They just run around, stop, and then walk in place. Sometimes they'll build something. When they'll build it, I have no idea. What order they build things is a mystery. Like, I had someone die of hypothermia, because they had to build the desks for the research bay, even though I told placed the space heater first.
