No worries, that's what I was wondering.

Even if it isn't a bug with the hydroponics as such, I think there is something wonky about the colonist priorities. Everyone shouldn't be doing some task over everything else, unless it is a matter of life and death. Likewise I've noticed that there is no point in building multiple workshop tables; only one gets used.

It would be nice if we could set some kind of priorities for the colonists, maybe even per colonist, assigning them roles.

Fixed the hydroponics. It's the trap of items that have "fulfills need" fixed  rather than a computed one and can also offer it indefinitely. Luckily for the Hydroponics, I found a bug the output of KJ of energy they output as food. There are some objects that are a bit more game breaky like the toilets.

As for the workshop tables. Probably because the colonists get an affinity to an object once they use it. And will prefer to use it. I usually build 2 and they use them both  ok.

Not currently. Ration packs just offer a good energy to time return. They can eat straight from the tree/chicken at the moment.

Nothing like eating raw chicken to keep up morale.

How are toilets game breaking, out of curiosity?
I must admit I haven't kept up with the development of this.

Well it's not entirely broken, just leads to odd behaviour: There is a need for hygiene but I don't track it. So it's set constant, but low. It being constant means it's never fulfilled for the colonist - but the need is quite low. So generally they will go off to fulfill another need. But if they are stuck due to a locked door or something they just keep using it over and over. Since the toilet has no limit to the amount of times it can be used they just look like they are having severe stomach troubles.

Next update brings space diarrhea!

That's actually planned. But not for the next update.

I actually put together a roadmap. I'll spoiler it so it doesn't nuke the layout...

Keep sipping that tea and coding that code my friend!  :P

It honestly feels like a lot of their problems came from the fact that their entire team was composed of cats, and the people who were supposed to be herding them were also cats.

Do you have a rough estimate of when you'll reach v1.0?

1.0 I am unsure of. However I want to get the whole existing roadmap nailed in some form in the first 3 months of next year. How long we take polishing/nailing bugs I am unsure of, and whether we continue on developing features that were initially cut or perhaps releasing some free expansions for new items/levels.

Talking of which...

0.52 is out! First person mode, complex agriculture, lots and lots of AI fixes. This was an insane amount of work haha. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a9FvTymEle0

Construction behavior is much improved. No more dandling around starving while there are several blueprints waiting in the hydroponics bay. Colonists still refuse to build scanners in medbay and desks in the lab, tho.

I think the first person views are a nice gimmick, but do they really add anything to the game right now?

Cool those are bugs we have in the tracker.

The repair bot and IMP views are pretty handy when you want something specific done quick. Especially with the ability to sprint about. When I add picking up minerals it will be useful for rearranging your storage room for efficiency too.

The colonist and door views are just for fun though.
