Wow, Disney doesn't waste any time at all.
...that's been there AT LEAST 20 years. May I say "epic fail" on your part?
I guess  :o  Never heard of the darn place until now, and I assumed it was new since it made a big deal about it being open.  Never been to Disneyland, and Star Tours opened the year I was born.  Meh.

It was pretty nifty, although not nearly as nifty as the Aliens dropship/APC ride that I went on at the Empire State Building years ago. Same basic concept as Star Tours (enclosed motion platform with individually articulated seats, with videoscreen and some tertiary effects like smoke, hull thumps, etc.) but much cooler experience. The opening bit was your dropship falling away from the troopship, and your seats had been steadily raising up (and reclining) during the preflight stuff, so then when you dropped away (and you're staring at this big vidscreen in the ceiling) the seats had a couple of seconds of pneumatic freefall. The effect was pretty awesome.  :D

So he's absolutely nothing like it.

NIIIIINJAAAAAA.

Well that is too complex and too dark for children

As "New Disney" we are instead going to replace that scene with THREE comical sidekicks.

In fact our new movie is C3PO, Jar Jar, and a jive talking Ewok having adventures.
I don't want to be the one to break a circleje... Scratch that, I do. Anyway, remember that Disney made Pirates of the Caribbean? Disney = cutesy is a bit of a simplification...

Disney also made Pirates of the Caribbean 3... a movie that amplified "Comedic Sidekicks"

The big deal about it being was due to it being remodeled a few year ago iirc

The main point made by Pirates of the Caribbean is that Disney can make movies significantly different from their usual, not that they always will.

So Lucas is now putting more money into the education system than the government itself?

So George Lucas' contributions to education this year will be about a 6th of what the government is putting in? That's still pretty bad.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Damn. And here I thought we'd be able to get a political derail to complete the derail set. Well played, sir.

I know someone mentioned that Star Wars could now be brought into the Kingdom Hearts storyline because of this. Which got me thinking of a Kingdom Hearts mod for Empire at War. Space battles could be battles between gummi ships, and you could just copy over Yoda's abilities and animations over to Mickey, and never notice anything different. Not exactly sure how the factions would work out, though.
