Frankenstein was the scientist, not the one on the table.

Given that "Frankenstein's monster" is technically the scientists son... and the scientists first name is Victor.

They are both Mr. Frankenstein.

Quite so. Now you shall feel the disapproving glare of ten thousand horror nerds! Forever! Except, I guess, when you go to the bathroom or something. Gotta respect a person's privacy.

E: DETAILS!

Well it turns out that the star wars brand was able to sink lower.

I dunno, it might be an improvement.

It couldn't of got any worse! Vader was like Fucking Frankenstein's MONSTER at the end of episode 3!

Bull. Dr Frankenstein never thought of the Creature as his son, and the Creature wasn't in any way related to him.

By that logic, if I performed CPR on someone and got them breathing again, I'd be that person's father. Life doesn't work that way.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I'd like to point out that Frankenstein's monster was never given a name in the novel, hence why he's called Frankenstein's monster. Plus Victor would have not given his creation a name, since that would have humanized by too large a degree. I don't know why the monster didn't give himself a name though. If I remember correctly he taught himself to read, and probably would have known a couple good ones. I blame the writer (whose name escapes me).

For crying out loud...

+1 internets to you fine sir.

I... thought Frank was the Zombie. My worldview is shattered. Though I never read any related literature, mind you.

tl;dr, Darth Vader is like Frankenstein's monster. Satisfied, gentlemen? Only except instead of living while hated by society and attempting to define his purpose in life he had a position of some considerable political and military power and killed rebels.

So yeah.
