We can give our hermit skills, right?  And if so, do they count towards the 100 point (because we've proved it's possible with only 100 points, but we can still do 200 if everyone wants) limit?

Here is the raw for goblins : http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=7104

I removed the playable civ from dwarves, so with that raw, you can only play goblins (had issue with no goblins civ at embark).
Tools (hive, nest, jug, large pot) works. Kiln works. You can do training weapons and embark with subterranean seeds, plants and drinks (still named dwarven wine, etc, but it works).
As said, animals are only trolls (for 1pt). Also, they can't be butchered nor seen in the (z) Animals screen. There is no pack animal with the wagon.

What goblins can't do : pig iron, steel, strand extraction, soap maker and screw press (but I can modify that, if anyone wants).

It doesn't need the files from Zanzetkuken. The other files that he gave were related with human and elf (sawmill, wood altar for elf, etc). Just put it in the raw (in place of your current, but make a back up first).

There is one problem.  The world could wind up completely different, and the goal was to have everyone using the same world.

Also, I think I know what the problem with the trolls is.

I've thought about this, so I have limited the goblins to 2nd cavern layer and above when they are underground.  Dwarves have access to all below ground z-levels.  Elves to all above ground z-levels, and humans to 7 z-level high outdoor constructions (does not count carved-out areas).

These changes may be debated.

1. Could you post the current raws?

2. Have we chosen a world yet?

3. Can we use outside utilities, specifically Just Embark?

Well, I've only changed the entity you made. But you know that only dwarves and goblins were playable in it ? Humans and elves didn't have the Civ playable (and maybe not other stuff). About the other files, they just modify things into the elf and human civ (buildings + reaction), and new plants (altough I didn't see any).

If we want the same world, I don't see how it matters. The only things that matter before generating is plants/weapons available, else, the civ won't have it at embark. So only the entity is needed. And we need to have at least one of each civ to play on the same world.

Also, I don't really see the point with goblins not digging under the 2nd cavern layer. Preventing magma, nether cap and strand ?

The trolls come from Evil_animals. We could add other animals, or probably change the cost, but anyway, I don't think trolls fit in with hermit, and other animals doesn't fit goblins.

The entity I posted is the one Zanzetkuken posted modified to enable goblins (so just removed dwarven : Civ playable, and else, made changes in goblin civ).

Well, you can put the raw in place of the current, as he said.  It wouldn't re-gen the world or anything.  It should get rid of all the Dwarf civs, but Gobbo players should be okay.

Now it shouldn't matter.  I am certain I fixed it this time.  One of the problems was that I put in the wrong entity_default file.  :P

Anyway, here is the link again.  It may take some searching to find which one you are using, due to selection not differentiating that well, but the 'access' screen will have the currently selected race at the top of the list.

The limit will be the embark points given within world gen.  That way, it guarantees that no one goes over.

Edited a bit the entity.default : http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=7104

Changed some nobles names (e.g. chief doctor for humans).
Added tools to elves (jug, hive, nest box, pot and wheelbarrow) and goblins (same + minecart).
Added soap maker and screw press to goblins (even elves can make soap from tallow) as well as beekeeping, waxworking.
Added kiln works (potter and glaze) to goblins.
Added training weapons to goblins.
Added the smelting reactions to goblins (except pig iron, steel, and candy).
Added some jobs to goblins (milker, cheese maker, gem cutter and setter, tresher (plant processing), miller, clerk and administrator).
