Microsoft word

Just a quick question.
I'm doing my chemistry coursework, and Microsoft word 2007 is throwing in partitions of two lines for no reason. The spacing is at 0, and I'm not even pressing enter, it's just adding them in when the sentence continues on the next line, and no matter what I've done, they refuse to be removed. it just acts as if the words are double their height on each line.
does anyone know a way to fix this?

Do you have any heading formatting set? Because most of the headings cause a doublespace in between lines.

Do you have a screenshot, because I haven't used Word 2007 in ages :P

For the record, I hate what they did with Word for 2007, and its "Intuitive" toolbar that aint, but if I understand your problem correctly I'd be looking at right-clicking and Paragraph and seeing if you've got "Line Spacing" as "Double" rather than Single.

Unless you mean "partitions of two lines" as in what might  have been an <Insert> <Section Break> under prior versions, with a double-ruled divider of some kind, which I can't seem to replicate in 2007 at all.  (Ah, hang on, just tried the legacy keyboard method, from memory, with Alt-I, B, then choosing "Continuous" and I've got a double-dotted line with "Section Break (Continuous)", for example, but I imagine that if you meant that you'd have described it otherwise.)

A screenshot might help, please, if I've not hit the mark at all.  And with the "Show all formatting" P-symbol thingy toggled on, if you don't already have it so.

(Ninjaed by three others...  Darkling, yup, that too; Greatorder, I know; and Darkling (for a second time) glad I'm not the only one who thought of that. ;)
