New Industry Mod
« on: October 29, 2012, 07:26:26 am »

Welcome to the New Industry mod

The aim of this mod is to introduce the age of industry and mass production to Dwarf fortress.
Have you ever wanted to make 4 axes at a time?
Have you ever more bang for your buck?
Have you ever wanted large sprawling industrial complexes?
Have you ever wanted huge production, yet your computer dies at 20 dwarves?

Well this is the mod for you.

So whats in the box?

Buildings
Industrial Train-use scrolls of payment to buy large bundles of food or drink

Industrial Farm-grow wheat on mass with the assistance of "POWER"- or produce yarn by feeding the sheep.

Export Office-sell all those fancy new goods produced at the Hammer Foundry and get scrolls of payment.

Finishing Shop-only use right now to turn "goods" into higher priced "merchandise", more uses coming soon

Assembly Yard-turn parts into goods for sale, will have additional uses soon.

Hammer Foundry-Produce mass goods or mass weapons take your pick.

Bore Hole- Giant machine that guzzles power but extracts minerals from the earth for you.

Coal Boiler- burn coal to produce the great and mighty "POWER" that is used to power the new industries.

Power Loom- Get more bang for your buck with this building by getting 2 cloth for every thread.

Incinerator-Burn wheat or remains to produce fuel for he boiler.

Refinery-With the refinery get more coke for your coal, and now more cut gems for rough gems.

Industrial Furnace-Use the new ore powders to produce twice as many bars as before (the reaction outcomes are still being balanced)

Industrial Grinder- break down stone for coal fragments, and turn ore into powder (ores can also be powdered at your local millstone but in smaller batches)

Bank-take your hard earned scrolls of payment, and acquire interest, or combine them for larger scrolls of payment-it is here where you also spend enormous amounts of cash to help fund expeditions to setup new outposts- why do this, well of course for the tribute.

Metal Merchant- does just what it says (sells you metal)
Wood Merchant- I think you get the picture
Gem Merchant- I really hope by this point, that this one is clear

Well that's all for now feel free to comment, download, spurn, ignore, love , or hate. And most importantly STRIKE THE INDUSTRY.

The first thing I thought when I saw this was that it would be either pretty good...or really bad.

Looks like the former.

Are you telling me I can power an Industrial Grinding Machine and/or an enormous Power Bore-Drill by throwing goblin corpses into an industral-grade incinerator?
