Ask I'Gix if the chief is going to send more kobolds soon.

Also ask why the chief did not send a single miner... to a mine.
Unless there is something GreatWyrmGold is not telling us.

You are unconscious... you know what, I'll just have you rest.
Anyways, you rest and awake.
I'Gix is guessing that the workers will be arriving in a day or two, but until then you should check the cave and maybe the surrounding area for trouble. What do you do?

((Yeah, the chief guessed there might be trouble. Besides, D'Toh could be a miner in a pinch.))

We need to fortify. When those humans fail to report back to wherever they were sent from, things will become... Entertaining.
Traps. Deadfalls, caltrops, and my personal favorite, punji stakes. Bonus points if we use the punji pits as latrines.

Do this. Investigate nearby areas, fortify things, make plans for traps, pitfalls, walls, etc.

You divide up the loot as advised. D'Toh claims the pick, you get the helm, which has a neat-but-kinda-annoying glowing stone set in the front. You already see pretty well without any light--you think that the glowey thing might be a heat sense--and the light could tip off enemies. It has to be useful, though... right?

You explore the rest of the mines, and find a few tunnels, some unsorted silver ore, and a small cavern, with luminescent ooze on the ceiling and lichens on the floor. Strange little creatures flit amongst the taller of the inches-tall lichen "forest." There is an outcropping that I'Gix notes would make a good place to sleep--defensible and probably covered in more soft lichens.
Investigation reveals that there's a doorway carved into the outcropping, visible by its heat-glow and partly hidden by a cunning illusion. Anyone with the vision of a human would never have seen the doorway, and probably barely seen the wall.

Well, what do you do about this?

DWARVES.

Sneak in, alone, tip-toe past sleeping enemies, kill their cats and children, tantrum spiral.

Booby-trap the door, we should wait until the mine is defensible before exploring it.
