WEEK 1 RESULTS

Ohful is one of those typical Indy-esque tracks-two straights, two corners connecting said straights. Due to poor weather conditions, only two racers managed to arrive on the track-Albert Poun, who took pole position on the grid, and his opponent for the day, Gordon Smith. The first 10 laps were rather bland-Poun took the lead and held it for all the way, with Smith hovering behind at some legnth. The racers needed to take a pit stop after the ninth lap, but even then that was rather bland. This followed until the twentieth lap, when, literally from nowhere, Smith drew level at the line. The final lap was then rather tight-Poun inched ahead on the first corner, then held the lead by inches on the straight, but with a spectacular choice of line, Smith pulled through the line, nudged ahead by Poun and won by two legnths, which isn't too large, but a win nontheless.

Australia is a city circuit, opening with a tight left, followed by a shallower follow through and a tight bend, which you can easily get knocked off under the bridge. Then there is the two-way straight, where if you stray off the line, you could get hit by the racers coming around the U turn at the end. The race then finishes with a downhill right corner, and that's basically it. Sleeder took pole, with Lincoln behind and to the outside of the bend. The four laps that followed were intense and grueling, with frequent collisions and overtakes, yet nothing horrific. The thing that secured the result, however, was the pit stop at the end of the fourth lap. Sleeder managed to use the momentum of the corner to pull neatly into the pit lane, whereas Lincoln thought it would be a good idea to pull a ridiculous 90-degree turn to get into the second pit... sideways. He had a fun time exiting. Needless to say, with the advantage of the pit stop, Sleeder won by a considerable margin.

The MINI class vehicle is available for purchase. Small, lightweight and nimble, the minis are usually used in the streets. They cost $10k each.

A Hot Lap Time Trial is five minutes plus two laps to produce the best lap time that you can. There is no limit to how many people can enter, but only the best six will get rewarded.
